Will Gollop- Retired or taking a break?
Anyone here know if Will has any intention of driving in Rallycross again or is G-Tech taking up to much of his time/focus?

I did about a year ago and he wasn't sure about driving again as you say very approachable, he was a hero to me in my teens and I still watch DVDs of various GPs and miss my local driver to cheer on.....................

I reckon it will depend on money. Will's spent a small fortune during his career, even the Silkolene money didn't cover the European costs. He's a businessman in rallycross now, actually making money for once, so unless someone comes in with a budget for him to race I don't think he'll do any more than the odd race (superprix, odd euro etc.)

I am wondering whether he might go with Jordan to Touring Car, remember with the financial help of Hans Te Pas he did run quite a succesful team in GT racing a few years back in the UK.
He is a much under rated engineer and has much experiejce of running very high powered cars and what it takes to run them, could be invaluable in certain forms of racing |

a quote from jordan's website
'The relationship between Gollop and Jordan will continue beyond the end of the current rallycross season, following confirmation that Gollop will be the race engineer for Andrew as he steps up into the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship for 2008. "I'm absolutely delighted that Will has agreed to take on this role," said Mike Jordan. "Will and Andrew have developed a brilliant relationship and the whole team is very proud that Will is going to be an important part of our two-car BTCC team next year' |

What's happening to the Focus then? Who will be racing it next season? Considering Andrew Jordan came up from the Juniors to race it, I say George Tracey Jnr should step up, his Dad's got enough supercars, why shouldn't he go for it?!?!

According to MN George Tracey Jnr will use his dads Xsara in Europe next year. But I guess the Focus would do for British rounds!!

I thought Andrew Jordan was still looking to do some rallycross next season (including selected European rounds) - so I guess the Focus will still be seeing plenty of action.

The last thing i read somewhere was that the Focus is up for sale and that Will was looking to buy a suitable car for Jordan to compete in some European Championship rounds.

It was mentioned at the London Masters that George Tracey has bought the Lotus off the Proctor camp, presume this will be used by George jr in uk and Ireland next year, and using the Xsara in the ERC, lucky boy.

GT Jnr used the Lotus at Mondello (rallysprint?) a few weeks back and MN said he'd be using that in the UK and Irish championships next year. So - what's Bellerby going to drive?

Bellerby is building a mk 2 Lotus Exige, it was in MN a couple of weeks back, he's just deciding which engine / transmission to put in it. Although he won't be out driving as often due to one of his daughters starting her autograssing next year.
Back on topic Does anyone have an idea which car Gollop is looking at for Jordan to race? I thought the Focus is plenty quick enough!!! |

Does Will have a website or does anyone know where I might find contact details for his company (G-Tech)?

I think it is fair to say he is now retired and can close the thread.
