Belly13 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2008 BMF & Bathurst 12 Hour (MERGED)

Now's probably the right time to start this thread with just under three months until the event. If anyone has any breaking news about entrants or drivers for the 12 hour, or would like their say on the support classes, then please contribute to this thread. Also, it would be a good place to keep in contact with people who want to either discuss or learn more about the event.

However, I would like to add a please note. If you do not want to contribute to this thread in a positive way in any shape or form, then PLEASE DON'T PLACE A POST. I would appreciate if this thread was reserved for the people who are interested in this event. Thanks.

Waldens are running a Commodore.

Lauren Grey at the Shannons Oran Park round mentioned that Holden had yet to confirm any plans for entries in the event

What effect does the 'merging' of the Production Car & Performance Car Championship have on the Bathurst 12 Hour, rules wise & Championship wise etc...?

That's a great effort. I can't wait for next year's event. Do you know what the format of the races will be for the Saloon Cars?

I have seen a program for SC but can't find it right now, I do know that we get 2 x 30 Minute races, will have a search and get back to you.

Toyata will have the TRD Aurion in for the 12 hour. The diesel alfa will be back also. Chris Delfsma is running his BF XR8 with John Bowe again with Paul Stubber joining the team this year.

The technical spec on the Aurion will be interesting to see... the standard road car has too much grunt for the front tyres... how will a supercharged version go

Is the 335i still eligible?

335i is eligible, whether Holty and Morcom race or not is another matter.

I wonder where Jack Elsegood will pop up? Maybe in a Ute?

If Mitsubishi can get the Evo 10 homologated in time I believe that you will see Kerry Wade, Scott Pedder & Matt Cherry entered in the car to try and combat subaru...

Well, I suppose it was always going to happen. It's a shame that people never want to support events such as this, but instead find absolutely ANYTHING to fault about this event.
Saloon Cars Australia and Formula Vee Australia should be congratulated, along with their competitors for supporting the event. Does anyone know any details about the Commodore Cup or HQ Holden entrants. Would be much appreciated.
The Bathurst 12 Hour is also coming along nicely with more competitors expressing interest by the day. It will be a great event.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. Hope to see you all there in Feburary.

I have submitted my application to be a volunteer at this event in Feb 2008...I hope Shephard gets the bugs out of the mighty little Mazda 3 MPS as that will be a rocket when its running at full potenial.

Looks like a great event and I'm looking forward to it..

I've been told 4 drivers with Delfsma's team - Bowe, Stubber and Elsegood. They will be a good combo.

Surely bringing back the girls would be one move Holden might look at or a new VE for the top drivers..

a great mix of all different models from 4cyls to V8's would make for thrilling racing.

Production style racing has a potential if factory sponsorships was offered as nearly every manufacture could field a car in all shapes and sizes...
