Cosworth BDG slide throttle bodies
I have a set of slide throttle bodies originally from a BDG I would say but currently fitted with a removable adapter plate to mate them to a NA Ford YB.
Please let me know what kind of money I should be looking at for them. I'm not trying to sell them on this forum as I'm not sure if that's aloud & I think I know a man who will buy them I just need to know the rough value Thanks in advance Bill |

By all means discuss what their application/potential is but any discussion re valuations/offers by PM only please, because, no, you can't simply use Ten-Tenths to sell them.

Don't worry I have no intentions of selling them on here
I'll more than likely sell them to one of a couple of people my my dad knew which is why I knew what they should have been fastened to rather than a more modern YB. Mechanical fuel injection is what these work with normally tho with some fab work It shouldn't be too much of a problem to get them running with a EFI system. I'm tempted to pop them on my Honda but I might get hunted down by my mates who are into their Fords Does anyone have any links to more information about these?? Thanks Bill |

why waste time fitting old technology slides to a modern car when you can get modern throttle bodies with injectors MBE ecu to do all teh work and some one will hav eteh map for that set up otherwise yr the 1 footing the dyno cost or rolling road cost to do the map
I have 6 mm Lucas mechanical metering unit of the buyer fts the slides to 1600 BDA motor and electro mechanical fuel pumps all overhauled ready to go should just need the injectors then! |

Well the reference numbers cast into them is.... SM EA0017 on the mounting face to the head. EA 0016 SM on the far side from the alloy block on the trumpets side I only spoke to Geoff on the phone so he's not seen any pictures of them & tho I've seen plenty of DFV's while growing up I have no idea but I'm sure an expert would know from a quick look Thanks for the help Bill |

Bill, not much help but I can tell you it's not DFV or BD. Too many bolt holes in original head mating face for a BD and not enough for a DFV.

what you have is a rare chevvy vega slide throttle assembly with an adaptor block to convert to the head face of a cossy yb. If you need any more info just ask.

ties in with the casting numbers nicely doesn't it?
The little cover on the end houses the end of the steel throttle slide plate. Works well if you use a linear pot in conjunction with any aftermarket efi systems. Have fun. |

Thanks for the information.
I've been mega busy with work & kicking my builders into shape to keep the garage to the plans A quick google search brought up the above picture but that's missing the alloy block that the throttle plate slides into I take it they are mainly used in the US historics then? Linear pot was my plan to run them with my ECU if I choose Bill |
