Carl Fogarty has officially announced his retirement. After his recent test session when he couldn't get comfortable on the bike, he has decided not to continue as he would not be competitive mainly due to lack of fitness, mobility, etc from his injuries sustained earlier in the year.
It is a shame to see him go, but it is better than if he tried to return and did badly. It is also strange that the best riders of both 500cc and Superbikes have left their respective categories in similar fashion. |
