He took out the other 3 victory contenders. I always liked him but after this race I lost my respect for the guy. The first incident with the Zent was unintentional but the second incident was intentional. As someone commented on youtube, it was a desperate attempt.

After endind the race of his fellow Lexus mates (Zent SC) and subsequently being outstrip by the two Hondas he had to do "something" (he probably also knew at that point that he had damage and his own victory hopes could be over), he wouldn't get a nice reception from the Lexus folks when he return to the garage if the two Hondas (the 2 main contenders in the championship from the Honda teams) went to finish 1,2.

The interesting part is that they (Denso) didn't get a penalty. You can bet that if that was a Honda driver they would get a big big one.

The irony is that a Honda still won the race, haha. Now that's something the powers-that-be probably didn't expect. Sh*t neither did I !!! I couldn't believe my eyes when the "nobody" Matsuura was outracing the "heavyweights" Ito and Yanagida but I was happy for the ARTA guys.

The second incident wasn't intentional...one of the Honda's thought he was clear and started to come over, the SC tried to dodge and unfortunately the other Honda was on it's left.

After re-watching the clip above several times I take back what I said about Wakisaka in the second incident. However, it starts when he squeezes Mako in the Weider all the way to the edge of the track (or even the grass? can't see clear) when he notices him coming past in his right side. Then he realises Kogure in the Raybrig is also coming past by his left side so imediately he starts squeezing him too (maybe he didn't see him, we don't know). Seeing that he's running out of space/track Kogure moves slightly to Wakisaka's side to indicate him that he's there and is not going to back off. He touches him lightly as there was of course almost no space between them as it was Wakisaka who had pushed him to the edge of the track in the first place.

Wakisaka wanted to deviate from the Raybrig and moved to the right, collecting the Weider - which was unfortunately very close as well. I agree it wasn't intentional. A racing incident it was.

Edit: I would like to hear what Kogure and Wakisaka had to say on the matter. I'm sure there are comments but probably not in english.
Mako only says: "Then, it started to rain and we lost time in the traffic. The fight was very intense with three other cars. One of them touched me and I touch the Honda..."

Makes you sad doesn't it? Watching the last evolutions of beautiful race cars, soon to be replaced by generic half-spec DTM copies.

Just wait for 2015 or 2016, if they need to change the development rules a bit.

Thats what I also thought. So Although Wakisaka was a bit desperate diving down the inside of the Mclaren even though the Zent SC430 was already on the outside, the two Honda's took each other out...

I hope they open up the development side of the rules. If DTM wants to be spec they can in their own series. Super GT should just give teams a limit of two updated packages per year if they're worried about costs. Something like a Fuji lower downforce package, a regular package, then a high downforce package they can choose to run on certain tracks. Perhaps in the next couple of years we'll see the direction they take.

Japanese samurai, what do you think about gt300 bop "mafia"? I think that nissan gt-r gt3 got too much waivers and a lot of team have bought the car or they will switch to gt-r in the middle of the season. Don't you think that nissan lobbied to obtain this, to let nismo/JRM sell the cars, having a poor market in europe?

To be sure, Nissan has political power on the Japanese race community.
However, speaking of FIA-GT3, GTA has applied BOP of FIA as it is.
Therefore, the political power of Nissan is almost unrelated.
Many teams use GTR GT3 because support of NISMO is expectable.
