I was actually referring to the 1100bhp quoted by Webber.

I think the fact that Webber's available horsepower actually works probably ranks high up on Alonso's priorities than the amount! I bet he'd even take my Punto over his McLaren-Honda, because at least my car can reliably cover race distance...
I may as well put this here, courtesy of whoever shopped it: |

Great little article in DSC. Some very interesting things from Mark Webber about the future.

Lieb to be replaced?
http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/2...n-update-lmp1/ I haven't really paid attention to times this year. Which of the 6 Porsche drivers has been the slowest on average? |

That's what I'm thinking. If Leib is out of at least a full season ride in the LMP1 car, it's because they want/need him for a R&D project like the new GTE car.

I wonder could Lieb end up in the third car alongside Bamber and Tandy with a new driver coming into his seat on the #18 car?

If it is Porsche as well as Manthey leaving WEC GTE there would be some very good shoes available.

I hope it's not true, he hasn't disappointed IMO. Frankly, none of them did. The one I personally was least impressed by is Dumas. |

I suppose this is related to Porsche's LMP1 team...
Mark Webber is on this week's Celebrity Pointless. It's subtitled as an F1 edition Let's see if Le Mans/WEC gets more than the customary sole mention. Edit - Allan McNish is on as well. Even the BBC isn't safe from the VAG rivalry. |

Frankly though, it's not like Porsche can offer a lot of retired lately ex P1 drivers & Le Mans winners to fill in the role of the wing-man expert that wants to be filled for TV. That is, I'm not reading anything into this, feel free to fill us in how it went

Webber and DC went out in the first round, McNish and Claire Williams (Frank Williams' daughter and the current Williams team principal in all but name) made it to the final round, but nobody got a pointless answer.

I heard "Le Mans" four times, double the amount I was expecting!
I know it's pretty far removed from the spirit of the thread, but this is the off-season and something's got to fill the void between Bahrain and Silverstone. |

that speculation / rumor is around for about a month (for both VAG teams), do we have a definite statement in that sense now?
(edit: Oh. I've read the Audi thread now.) Last edited by Ephaeton; 28 Nov 2015 at 19:56. |

Only 8 factory cars in LM. At least in terms of entries its a fair shot for everyone. That emissions scandal must have brought about some pretty sizeable cuts.

Yes, they're continuing, and planning to run two cars for the full season. Recent tests at COTA had them run about as fast as Rebellion, despite the new hybrid system not being ready yet.

That's a shame for all the #19 drivers
