zerO should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Who knows ?? - maybe... but then, there still is Guy Smith and Christian Fittipaldi that PG has under consideration - problem is who'll pay for it ?!

btw, that's Valiante's Walker car when he tested it last year (at Road America, if I remember correctly)... and this year's car will not look much different ?!

Walkers cars always look cool!

BTW, if it happens, will it be a Reynard or a Lola?

I have editted this post - simply because, in quoting zerO, the picture of Valiante's car appeared again. Not really a problem, I'm just thinking about saving bandwidth for our dialup members.

It would be a Reynard. If I'm not mistaken, Walker basically owns the remnants of Reynard.

#1 - Walker would need to hit lotto in order to get Lolas

#2 - Walker isn't too much interested in getting Lolas... on some circuits Reynards are more suitable, and the way the "freeze" is working nowdays - given the proper expertise - Reynards can become as equal to Lolas as possible... it all depends on funds available... at Toronto Haberfeld came in fourth - fine, "attriction" - but still, any other Lola didn't manage it, Reynard did... so, let's not write off all Reynards - at one time they used to be much better than Lolas - TIMES CHANGE ?!... and we just never know when the tide will turn - give Derrick Walker some time (and $$$) and he'll find an edge - DW is a "professional" ?!

Fingers crossed Valiente will get on the grid sometime this year. His name has been linked with a ChampCar seat for so long only for we fans to be disappointed time and again. I'm sure he'll also be getting frustrated with the lack of progress, but you've got to admire his dedication for trying to get into the series.

As for the #17 Rocketsports, if Gidley performs well in Vancouver, perhaps he'll be there until seasons end...

Memo had a good run in Friday's session...maybe a hint of things to come as he gets more time in the car????

I'm pulling for him....

Memo has always been one of my personal favorites. It's a shame that all these years he hasn't been able to get a consistent ride or sponsorship to back him up. It's almost a waste of good talent.

Hopefully this opportunities will open up some doors for him (then again, I did say the same thing about his stint with Target Chip Ganassi).

FYI:

Patrick Racing is giving Tomas Enge a test at Chicagoland Speedway (he will take the IRL "Rookie Test" today and then the formal test tomorrow)....

His competition is a young driver in the Infiniti Pro Series...so I expect Enge to get the seat...

He might be a "possible driver for 2005," but my guess is he'll be racing in the other Series starting August 15 at Kentucky Speedway...

NOTE: I know which Forum I'm in....but since he has been on the "possibles" lists over here and has been discussed as a possible OWRS driver, I wanted to make you aware of it....

Added Note:

Apparently, Enge is just doing this to see what options might be out there for 2005....

He is committed to running the rest of the F3000 season for this year...
