Why? are you buying him a new car to race - perchance, and Austin 1800? He likes classics!!!

Sorry I won't be able to make it this weekend, due to racing at Blyton in the MR2. We tested today and didn't break anything, so wish me luck.

Coming? Not me

My good lady has insisted I go to a school function (apparently I DO have children and they do go to school - always wondered where all my salary went!).

Enjoy your day...

That was superb stuff Pete, some of the best racing I've seen in ages (from two very distinctive cars as well ). More of the same please (only you're supposed to finish behind Bill ).

Glad you boys had a great time on sat, well me I was sitting at home with nothing to do as the phone call came friday to say the single seater race was cancelled, strange as there were 20 odd cars at branda and only 4 of us at Lydden, mind you I'm glad it was cancelled as I sold my car on weds eve. So sorry you won't be able to see that mad black formula ford getting a bit out of shape like the test day..!!!!! But not all is lost cause now i've got a derestricted formula renault just a bit quicker to get even more sideways. Lets hope eddie mclurg dont get of the line very well and maybe we will have an interesting race, Its not all about being the fastest in a straight line!!! Anyway car wont be out until the barc round on june the 11th then semsec after that so see you all soon.

However im very well informed that next meeting there will be two of the blighters!
I was a bit disserpointed about the handicap getting caught early, how do you win the race!
Great race Pete the race winning spins rocked.

Yep, well done on beating the bug 2nd time out, but the other one will be quite a different matter. (Not me by the way).

As for how to win the handicap, we'll have a chat before the next one. I never quite won one myself, but I once came second by 10th of a second...blast!!!!

As for Pete v Bill, what a great race, two very different cars and styles, but great entertainment. And Pete certainly knows how to celebrate!!

how to win handicap race

Well im not sure how you win it or how it works but i had problems in practice and was still working on my imp when my intended race started and i got into the handicap race. Was on pole and had to do 11 lapas had a great race and then on the start of the last lap the dizzy started to play up again so i lifted off just to get to the end and was it close i won the race from nigel bents caterham by 0.182 of a second close or what. I may well do a few more of the handicap races as its good fun every one out there has a chance to win. Im looking forward to the next round at lydden and thanks to minicross424 for a loan of a dizzy cap i ended up useing my own 1 but its nice that people help each other out thats what racing should be a bit of fun

Horse power and revs.

It is getting to the stage where more horse power is going to be needed.I will have a think and work out what our next possible step could be.Are you out on the 3rd as Dave is sprinting might see you there.

Mig, you get Bill Richards talking and distract his attention.
Minicross424, get yer spanners out quick... swap em' over, he'll never notice!

That should sort it.

Otherwise, Longman head, steel innards, 649 cam, etc....
