It's much calmer now than 10 years ago, but it's still Florida. And I'd bet bike week this week has kept a bit of the riff raff away. However, I can take the sideshow for the history of the track/race, the cars, the accessibility and the warm (ish) weather this time of the year. A must attend for any racing fan.

Man I'm a jinx in the pickem contest. 10th in gtd, dead last 10th in gtlm, and my pick in dpi had by far the fastest lap going and had mechanical failure for another dead last. Geez......

So Pipo in the #2 was headed for a 1:47 easily, was that genuine or was it 'overboost'? Then Mustang Sampling Caddy was on for pole but was under-fueled for his last lap. It may just be a decent race up front if the pace from the ESM was for real and Caddy aren't hiding anything.

There's no trap speed because it's at the end of the back stretch, but the second sector time is utterly absurd so it almost certainly was overboosting. They were also 8mph faster than anything else has been in the speed trap in practice 4, so it's not the first time.

There isn't or there is? What's "overboost"? The Nissans 'charged? If so, the lap woulda been thrown out anyway (if not the whole session) if over the max pressure, no?

Again, admittedly, 'haven't been following as close as I used to these days.

That would be why he pitted, besides the fact the engine might not be able to handle that much boost. The Nissans evidently have some sort of boost control problem that makes them exceed their intended boost level occasionally.

At Daytona that showed because in practice 3 the #22 car ran the fastest third sector and trap speed of the entire weekend out of nowhere, immediately pitted, and never came remotely close to them again.

If nothing shows up before race start, here's what I would do/am doing:

-Google tunnel bear and download it. I do the free one with the least data. I figure some US acceptable link will show up before the data limit hits.
-Tunnel to UK.
-Open internet browser of choice, go to imsa.com and use their imsatv page.

Looks like the #67 decided not to change its personal timezone. I expect it to be running in an hour, ready for a 11:40am start.
