And another thing: If Santa got the FIA to get rid of the raised noses the next time new aero regs come around I'd be a happy man.
Merry Christmas. They are doing that for next season.

But is it enough?

Good news, but I was kind of expecting the early 90's style low noses.

I can't help but feel that these versions will end up looking like this year's front ends, but with a 'broken' nose.

raymondu999 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Don't forget that in 2013 (or it could be 2014) there will be further revisions for a lower nose. It's safe to say we can see noses like the MP4-24 or BGP001 had

As the author of the article stated, it's unlikely that anyone will go with the broken nose look. More likely that the nose will follow the original line from the cockpit.

The 2013 chassis regulations do go a bit further on this, but I have a feeling that the 2013 chassis regs will be put back a season in order to coincide with the new 2014 (originally 2013) engine regs.

Yeh I thought they were completely resorting back to early 90's style noses, though. I think I just misunderstood.

According to the above article: "This reduction in height starts in 2012 with the front bulkhead limited to a 55cm height and then in 2014 the nose tip must fit into a zone 25cm high."

So yes, low noses are a coming.
