Drink [iV8SC15R24] Wilson Security Sandown 500: 11-13Sep

It is finally here. The season of endurance. The first of the two driver events at one of the better tracks for spectators to enjoy the view on the V8SC calendar.

It is super open. There are probably 10 cars with the right car package, the right driver pairing, the right history of luck being on their side to get the job done.

The only thing we dont know with driver pairings is what is going on with the #22 HRT car. Mr Courtney isnt likely to be available. Wonder who might drive there?

Mr Winterbottom leads the championship, but isnt counting his chickens just yet, the likes of 888 performing miracles to get their primary car back near the front.

Can Mr Mostert and Mr Waters keep punishing their #6 all day to get a result here? Will a Nissan surprise? Will a Benz be competitive? Will Volvo get 2 cars percolating rather than just one? Or will Holden with its strength in numbers and competitive teams knock everyone off...

Only 3 weeks to find out.

DV_08 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
So now you have to pay extra to sit in the unreserved grandstand section?

I'm liking the look of Reynolds/Canto to win 1 or 2 of the endurance events. Having no Championship pressure on either of them can only help.

Still fighting for a drive or a sponsor or both, so still pressured

Could end up PRA 1-2-3 in the championship

The race starts at 1.25pm and finishes at 4.55pm on the Sunday. I would've thought Ten would've made the race finish around 6pm like the previous ones have been

Same as this weekend, except for a driver lineup change in #22.

Yeah I wanted to look down the co-driver list, Fabs is on a purple patch and wondering who his partner is...

there are 3 parts to the grandstand, They have a reserved are where you book a seat, A reserved area where you can choose a seat based on whats available.
The rest of the grandstand, which is included in your entrance price where you seat in any of the unreserved seats

So a general admission ticket still gets you in the grandstand? Went to buy tickets the other night and its not exactly made clear when they talk about bringing your own seat for GA.

its a little big tricky, They obviusly want to sell out all the grandstand seats so if enough people reserve one then you cant sit there.

But they have been selling these grandstand tickets for about ten years and there has always been room in the grandstand for GA

however in saying that. Ive always packed a chair just in case

I don't remember ever seeing that ticket option in the past. I always thought the unreserved section was included in the ga price.

Wow I've been going for over 10 years and never seen more than a small section roped off reserved, all good then GA it is.

dont expect it will change too much this year, maybe 500 seats roped off, small in the scheme of things (some would say suckers)
