Is the sun never out over there? |

Poor turn out by the teams, 10 in the G50 ?, I hope the ticket prices reflect this.

Well that was good fun to watch. Good drives from Thommo and Neal to work their way up the field, and O'Neill kept up the pace too. Looks like Shedden's SEAT couldn't handle the ballast but a decent try anyway.

Neal and Collard looked like they were being overly aggressive and lacked manners, Sheddens punt back totally justifed.
O'Neil and Thompson showed quality drives and clean racing. Silverline/RML look fragile with that Chevy which is suprising taking into acount how fault free it ran in WTCC, what is going on there? |

Exaggerating a wee bit maybe? It was pretty good, but not a classic. I knew VXR would use the team orders card to switch Neal and Giovanardi.
Comedy moment of the day had to be Adam putting Neal on the grass and then into Collard. |

Good to see Mat Jackson have a decent round. What has been his problem this year?

ITV4 were pretty bad today. No Formula Ford races despite the chance of showing something different (and maybe a first glimpse of a future champion), lost sound for the start of a pre-recorded race, excessive Johnny Herbert, and a couple of basic errors and slip-ups from the presenters.
The Ginetta field may have been small, but the racing was great. The Carreras were about as good as ever (and with a decent-sized grid). All 3 BTCC races were well above average too. Cartridge World will learn quickly how to deal with the success ballast. The Chevy was the class of the field and could've had 3 win+podium results. In that context, questions have to be asked of why Vaulkhard was further back than usual. A shame to see such blatant team orders at the end of race 3, but the consolation of Neal having to be #2 is enough. It makes you realise just how good the Integra was (and still is, in O'Neill's hands). |

This was my first ever Touring Car meeting and it certainly won't be the last. Plato was fantastic in race three, and all of the other races were great fun to watch too.

of the support races the G50's were a joke 9 on saturday and 10 on sunday, they should be booted off the TOCA pachage and replaced by something that has a grid and racing like the national legends. spectators can go and get fed etc while they are on, we cant. everything else was okay.
another thing wish spectators would show a bit of decency in the q for the loos and let a marshal jump it, we have sod all time between races once we have cleaned up and if we need a pee it is a fast one, thankfully someone came out the disabled one and i was able to nip in there. some one moaned at me and i was close to telling him to feck off but i didnt |

It was pretty good Race 3 watching it from the centre of the circuit next to the commentary tower. Although pretty windy it was good to be able to watch Plato's progress especially all round the track.

That place is pretty tricky for overtaking and his car wasn't that much faster. I'm not sure about the Lacetti's engine... but that's another matter. I still think it was a great drive and certainly a very entertaining race.

I was under the impression the S2000 cars don't get the same dispensations in the BTCC as the WTCC cars but then I heard it mentioned the Lacetti's have a flat floor?

I thought race 2 was the best of the day - Plato's run through the field in 3 was impressive, but for overall entertainment and action right down the grid race 2 was brilliant to watch. |
