Italian F3000

Does anyone know anything about this new series next year? Which teams will be in it, circuits, cars, etc etc.

It's for the 1999 F3000 Lola.

All races in Italy plus an away-day at Dijon.

It'll be a generally low-profile series using cars which are six years old.

I don't see it as any threat to the European career ladder.

Could be a threat to Italian F3 though? What are the relative costs? Climb? You there? We need answers!

When there was an Italian F3000 series a few years back, Italian F3 was cancelled.

I expect the same could happen again.

Perhaps this is the way to go - with all these stupid European-level series going on, the top-level national serieses should be a load of old F3000, GP2 and Euro3000 cars.

I didn't really say that.

I'd like to see the Renault World Series cars have a British series in 2006, replacing F3, in much the same way we already have Forumula Renault UK and a Eurocup.

Apparently the budgets are not higher than F3.

That Italian F3000 series was simply renamed EuroF3000 and expanded its horizons.

Exactly, to become the superfund series next year. The boss is an Italian.

The problem of challenging Italian F3 doesn't exist, since F3 virtually doesn't exist in Italy, you know what I mean.
