Two way telemetry for 2003

We didn't hear much about it this year except when McLaren used it in Monaco and Indy to fix an engine problem. But I think we will be hearing a lot more about it next year, especially because team orders are banned

GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!

BAN IT BAN IT BAN IT BAN IT. This is F1, not Scalextric. IMO this was the cause of the **** ups at Austria and Indy. RB was being slowed down by remote as much as anything.

Ban power sources. Batteries, solar panels, dynamos.

Do you think two way telemetry could actually steer and brake the car without input from the driver? I can just see it now...

RUBENS: I've got brake problems Ross. The steering seems strange too. I don't know if I can continue.
ROSS: Don't worry Rubens. We'll fix them...(heh heh heh

I assume that since people can hack into the pentagon and listen to the speaker of the house's cell phone conversations, that the 2 way telemetry could be hacked. anyone noticed a sudden rise in the computer geek population around...ooo...maranello?

I wouldn't be suprised if the top teams have helicopters flying overhead actively jamming opponent's signals!

Last year we had a nice chat about hacking bi-telemetry, take a look...
http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...ghlight=hacker

PS: At that moment only one way telemetry (car->pits) was allowed. Today it´s a different approach.

Technically that could be a posibility, however I believe that the driver's guts feel the car and judge the situation better and faster.

Sheese... Ok. That's not possible. First because both steering or braking are not allowed to be electronically controlled. So there's no any 'control' system other than drivers' hands or feet. Besides, that would be silly anyway. There's no need to do that (let alone that a team that would want to sabotage one of its own car is a stupid team); simply radio Rubens to slow down.
