The same thing would have happened . RB would defend, MS would attack, but both being careful going about doing it.
RB didn't follow MS around, he tried to overtake, but he tried without taking undue risk. Michael would maybe be a bit more assertive, but similarly, Michael didn't make it hard for RB to pass today, he just drove per norm.. In a couple of races this season, MS who's on a lighter fuel load (diff strategy) came out of his stop behind RB. He could have up his pace and make a race of it (or team orders could come) but instead, they took the sensible approach of letting MS pacing himself a few car lengths behind RB until RB pits dor his own stop after pushing for a few laps. |

I am not talking about other races. In this race it was so clear to see that RB had a better strategy and a better race car so why not let him pass what is the problem. If he would have messed up in the led michael would have won anyway

MS's pace was not that slow . cause Ralf was not gaining . and plus he still had a lot of fuel

incredible strategy and mastery of the red cars-Todt is smarter than us all. poor rbens was chomping at the bit to win but a formation finish-this is the greatest team ever

driveshaft. Damn driveshaft. Maybe the engine upgrade brought too much power for the renault's driveshafts.
Indeed a good race for Fisi. |

Fine peformance from Michael as usual. I think Fisichella is doing some good work at Sauber.

By the way, why should Ferrari interfere, they were headed for a clear 1-2 had Rubens not screwed up with his mistake. Also JPM was in a car that qualified on pole (in RS's hands), with one of the most powerful engines on the grid and top speed trap times, with 17 less laps of fuel on board, running illegal brake ducts, and with nothing to lose if contact was made with MS couldn't pass MS but somehow Rubens should've been able to? |

Canada is well known for being an unfavourable race for overtakings.

Yepp, for a circuit with a long straight..it has very few overtaking, pose few drivers' challenges, is narrow...
And what's worse, no drivers rammed into the wall at the final chicane and send the safety car out for some havoc.. It was boring up and down the field. Even the great overtaker couldn't do anything much |

No Grand Prix is boring.
There's always something of interest in the race. |

Yeah...like how a well trained lollipop man suddenly decide to play a cruel trick on his fellow mechanic?
Feel sorry for that guy though. |

Right KB; this time fuel strategy has been the prothagonist.
We could say that Fisichella choice is becoming fashionable, more teams have imitated him, despite a relatively quick pitting time. |
