Hotrod World Final

I know some of you dont give a monkeys about oval racing but thats where i started and i love it.
So for those in the know who do you think is going to win this years World final?
I think it could finaly be Carl Boardlys year in his very smart tigra but never count out Malc Blackman.
Im not there this year due to going to see the DTM but anyone there let me know !

So why are you going to the Taxi racing then? Foxhall's the only place to be this weekend.

Closest racing venue to me, and I can't make it... haven't been to Foxhall for many years actually, keep meaning to, but other racing stuff always comes first!

Looks like it could be a cracking meeting. I saw a couple of cars heading south this evening.
I wouldn't have minded making the trip to Ipswich, but I'll be at Blyton for the rallycross.

Basicly because at the end of last year it looked like the DTM was going to die so i figure see it whilst it about.
The Nationals are so good they will never pack up.
Anyhow i going to go to the national championship instead!

No.41 Carl Boardley did take the win, but in controversial circumstances after a clash with 198 Andy Steward who was leading on the last lap. After a lot of deliberation the result stood, with 170 (Thompson) second and 59 (Bentley) third. Ricky Hunn managed a fighting fourth.

Ooh sounds like it was a good race then.

I went last year and had a great time, but I too was at the DTM this year.

I just read about it on the Hot Rod site.
General feeling is that Andy Steward tried to put Carl in the wall and lost out.
Anyway very well done Carl at last!
Rod are you inviting the outlaw hot rods this year as there enough of them to make a cracking race.
If you do i will be doing everything possible to get a ride for the meeting!
Hotrods Rule!

Not sure. We have tried twice and their turnout has been poor. Lots of promises then excuses for not turning up. The promoter (Ron Coventry) doesn't like to be messed about, but if you can guarantee 16 of them then he will run them. That's why he chose Mini Stox.... 40 cars, no problem!

Only went on the Saturday but really enjoyed it, first time I've seen Nat Hot Rods (or any short oval racing for that matter) - was great weather too
