Shawn should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
DTRC Castle Combe June 24/25th

So it's my turn to start this one

I have posted the entries received so far for Castle Combe. There are currently 19 and can be viewed on the your usual, very informative website.

I'm hoping to get there for some of it, having not seen DTRC since Brands in April....Combe being my local circuit (15 mins) you'd think it'd be easy - but no, 80th birthday family thing Plan is to get there for the Saturday / Sunday afternoons if possible. Least they moved the party thing so I don't miss LM....you can never win!

Yeah sorry peeps thats the one I have opted for. More a personal thing than money though as I have never raced at Rockingham and doubt I will get another chance where as I have raced Combe three or four times. I would still say however it will be more fun out with you guys.

Not forgetting that that Castle Combe Saloons guys are also welcome to join the DTRC grid too........... (and in some cases vice-versa no doubt!)

Not sure. I reckon some of the boys would feel quite at home.....ay Eric ?

And don't say you're not going either. There is a rumour going round that you are strangly drawn towards Castles. Or is that only on Treasure Hunts ?

More entries are now being received, particularly as several drivers will qualify for the end of year rebate to offset this rather expensive (by DT&R standards) entry fee.

How much are they asking> Not surprised it's expensive, Vees certainly seemed it at the beginning of the season (compared to elsewhere).

The cost is set by BARC HQ, its £250,which will mean we won't get our 38 car average

It's Eric who has got the thing going with Castles. We had a treasure hunt a year or so ago and he managed to end up at a Castle, which as luck would have it was approx 25 miles from where everyone else was...

I expect he will be on here later given his side of the story, but between you and me don't believe a word of it...

Vees were organised by CCRC Suze. This meeting is organised by BARC.

Yes Ian, I'm aware of that thanks - still doesn't change the fact that both of them seem expensive in comparison to other meetings.

He beat me at Brands Indy in Classic Thunder Graham but the car is getting better and I only just slung the new suspension on for the CT race and have since set it all up hopefully properly (the thing was towing in 8mm and the anti-roll bars had a 10mm set in to them, 30mm too low at the back and corner weights all over the show) as I am hoping to stay on the same lap as you guys next time! Also got a new alloy rad coming today and a programed electronic ignition on its way (get rid of the points at last!)/

If we go back to Combe it will be with their club rather than BARC HQ. As Graham mentioned we are offering a rebate scheme, which could amount to £150 for drivers who regularly support our races.

I am looking forward to this one. I'll be there in my marshalling capacity, and I promise not to jinx any cars this time! (Sorry Andy W).

It should be a great weekend and with the bargainous food being organised too the social side of things should be excellent!
