Most of you know I play in a band . . . called The Dials, we're just about to release a new album, on vinyl as well ( which most of you will be familiar with, it superseded shellac as the must have phonographic reproduction medium in the 40's ;-) )

It's all here, and a video for the single . . . . https://www.thedials.co.uk/

Pretty good!

Couldn't they have given you a bit of make-up for the video?

Thanks Ian, not that Iv given up on motor racing completely, booked a track day at Spa for the 2nd October, taking the whole crew there, debating whether to take the Escort as well as the Fiesta, will not drive myself until I get my medication sorted, Tim and another chap Neils plus if he shows, Gordon, are the only people I will let drive the Escort.

I had an uncle Eric moment the other week in that I offered advice, he always says "don't get involved". On another forum, someone was trying to set up the rear hub bearing on a Jaguar IRS and had masses of free play and said Jaguar don't do a spacer big enough to take the play out (he had one .153"-ish which is the biggest they do) so what should he do. General advice on there was to get a bigger one machined up to fitting two spacers. Myself and one other said to fit a thinner spacer, not thicker to give the required 2+ thou play. Nope you're both wrong and don't know the type of axle he has so we don't really know what we are talking about, this despite me posting a link with a picture of how it's done. So we both say good luck with it and let him get on with it.
Fast forward to last night where he posts that he's ignored what the manual?? and the axle refurbers say and done it our way and it's now fine, no thanks though.
So in future I'll try and take wise old Uncle E's advice and not get involved.

I was browsing the Aldi website recipe section recently and came across this interesting looking main meal. It wasn't under a sub heading entitled "Meals that are nearly named after British Race Circuits", but maybe it should have been?

I've discovered that Mrs Delta is currently not well. I'm sure we all wish her a speedy recovery.

Thanks for kind words . Yes I'm afraid she was rushed in yesterday with suspected appendicitis. Currently in operating theatre. Hope to have her home tomorrow but I'm going to cancel Spa .

Mrs Delta - Gill - is probably the most long-suffering woman in motor racing. I'm sure she'll appreciate the fact that Iain has placed caring for her above racing at Spa!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Gill!

What she needs now is a nice trip to Jersey and a stay at a five star hotel overlooking the beach, highly recommended , wish her all the best Ian.

Yes, but are you still going to Angouleme?

Best wishes to Gill.

My younger daughter had an nasty appendix problem in her mid teens. It presented in a strange way so all the medics decided it could not possibly be an appendix problem.

Fortunately they operated anyway (after about 10 days of intense pain) and discovered it was seriously infected and very nearly life threatening.

I would image Gill will be extremely relieved and deliriously happy for the fix. So probably a good time to sneak in any plans you have may have been keeping quiet about...!
