Gold Coast may be cancelled!!!
According to reports in the Australian media, some CART teams have been contacting their Surfers Paradise hotels to ask what will happen if they cancel their bookings. Apparently teams are understandably nervous about travelling to Australia in these times of uncertainty. A rumour going around is that the Gold Coast race will feature V8supercars (touring cars), as the Champ Cars won't be there.

yeh that was about 3 weeks ago mac..
everything is back on with no dramas at all for the gold coast indy..the teams are happy to come and the gold coast is ready to have them..it was just a fall back plan in case CART didnt come becauase of "other problems" that V8 supercar would take over ..but it seems as if CART and coming so its on with the show
