Steve Burns should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thanks to everyone who has expressed an interest in this race. We now have a capacity 42 car grid, so it should be an excellent race.

An entry list is available on the link below

http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/...?ArticleID=149

If you still wish to enter then please get in touch as we can take reserves should anyone pull out etc.

I think Nick has had some waste gate/ dump valve issues which have made it noisier than it should be.

When we come to see you (the TRC cars), I'll try to hang on to the lower gears for you to keep the revs up. Perhaps I'll change the limiter chip to use 8200, rather than the current limit of 7600....

Congratulations and well done. Just shows what can be achieved with the right attitude and a bit of effort perhaps.

Thanks John. I don't suppose you fancy bringing an FF1600 or even club F3 car down to Wiltshire for the weekend do you? There are still a couple a spaces left on the single seater grid.

excellent idea that Steve, pity about the monsoon that spoilt things a little

Even so that racing was good so hat's off to all who took part even when the conditions were far from perfect.

So when's the next open races then steve???

I suppose it'll only be a one off as i doubt the normal entry fee would bring in so many so quickly,75 quid was a darn good price

it was great to see so many different cars racing each other and they were both a crowd favourate

Hey Gixxer, sorry to hijack but I fell foul with the noise meter at Brands on Sunday and had to run a Supertrapp which slowed me down by nearly 3 seconds a lap! Joke was there was single cylinder motorcycles going around making far more noise than my V8!

They still run to the 105dB limit that you do Al. It's all about the frequency of the noise.

When you read the supertrapp blurb, they are not supposed to cause a loss of power... if you have the right ones for your engine output....

I have the biggest you can buy.

The frequency of noise is exactly my point, they were painfull and will be what gets Mr. Nimby across the way reaching for the phone not a low pleasant grumble that my machine puts out, the whole thing is silly.

Is that like the button that Ross Brawn has is F1 for the non-Schumacher car, just in case it get's too far in front.....

Let's hope that there's more of them...(open races), and at the "right" price.

Rob.
PS: Al, hiding your light under a bushel again? Class B winner at Brands!

Yeah thanks Rob, little more deserved than my class A win at Thruxton in Post Historics as I was the only class A starter and finisher, at least there was 4 of us in this one and I think we all finished.

I will add another silencer by then. Ihave a matching 3" one Joe Ellis knocked me up years ago so I will T-off the single system and have two exiting rear exhausts, not ideal but hopefully will quieten it down an bit.
