garry should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Gerry has confirmed that he will do a race with us this year and he is going to ask the owner of Baby Bertha if he can use it. The best meeting for this would be at Brands on the 31st August, however I will keep everyone informed.

We all had a great night on Saturday at the Formula Saloons awards dinner - thanks Garry and Martyn Sims for the organisation! Good to see FS president Gerry Marshall there and hear of him possibly returning to race Baby Bertha in one of the races. I saw him in it back in 75 - awesome against Nick Whiting. Some of the best racing I have ever seen.

I was commissioned by the club to paint this 24 x 18in montage of some of the competitors - including Garry's Nissan, Ric Wood's Holden, Rod Birley's Escort and some of the other ex-Super Tourers. It was presented on the night to the BARC to thank them for their support with the great Formula Saloons Championship. Make a point of getting along to see the best club saloon series in the country in 2003! If anyone is interested, contact Garry as we are organising some prints of the painting.

Is Baby Bertha John Pope's Aston Martin Firenza 1000hp no brakes or is it the midengined beast at Cambridge motorsport?
