inpitlane should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Huge fields for Historic Sandown

Apparently close to 400 entries for next weekend's Historic Sandown. A huge Formula Ford field and big fields in all the Touring Car categories as well as Grp S 60's & 70's Sportscars.
The Biante series will be racing as well, although not strictly Historic they are a great nostalgia trip for those who like there 70's muscle cars.
Once again In Pit Lane will have at least one camera out there although we are working on a plan to have at least one days on track action shot with a RED camera.
For anybody who knows about the RED it's super Hi-Def so the images should be awesome.
The show from Sandown will be on in December and highlights will be on the In Pit Lane youtube channel.

Good stuff Brett. Planning to go on Sunday, possibly Sat pm also. Always a great event & you didn't even mention the F5000's! Worth traveling a long way for that race alone, I figure you can never guarantee when you will get the chance again.

The In Pit Lane news story from Historic Sandown is now on-line at both the Podcast and on our new Youtube channel www.youtube.com/inpitlane
We'll have an extended feature on the meeting over the summer and I'll have it on-line ASAP.
Also coming up is the Austrlain Hillclimb Championship which I think has a few things that will interest Historic racing lovers.

I should put a reply in here - there is a more active thread in the Aust touring cars section. Sunday was a great day's racing, although marred by a couple of crashes. It was quite warm at ~34°C. I only took a handful of photos as I spent most of my time in the shade of the grandstand (pointless trying to take photos from there), but there will be others.

One disappointing thing was the Robson Lola T332 F5000 being excluded from the last race of the day for breaching the 96dBA noise limit. As usual though the racing was great and the event ran as smoothly as it could given the circumstances.
