1986 March 86C-13 Car Whereabouts

Hopefully this is the right place for this question (thought perhaps that the Champ Car sub forum would be, but it appears no posts in there since 2008?)

Anyhow, I'm interested to know who now owns the 1986 Indy 500 & championship winning car. Or of there is a registry of these.

Last I saw was that it was up for auction here:

I do remember hearing about this car last year but it was one of those things that passed in and out of my brain and I can't remember now. Is there something particular you want to know about the car or?

Thanks for that, initially just curiosity at this stage, given the Kiwi connection with the car via crew members etc.

I do recall it being passed in at auction a year or so ago.

Have you tried contacting RM Auctions and/or Sotheby's?

Not something that I've tried. I didn't think that they would be particularly forthcoming with that sort of information, probably citing customer confidentiality.
