New aero on the CC. Seems that all the teams are going with a much flatter 'side skirt' this year...

New rear arch extensions too. Up until last year they were curvy and followed the shape of the wheel arch. These look more purposeful and similar to what Speedworks did with their Avensis rear arches, taking a more boxy form and 'blending' into the door, more like something off a Super GT GT300 car.

Front aero looks the same though I'm spotting a lack of bonnet vents (perhaps a 'standard' bonnet for testing to keep the temps up in the colder weather?!).

Both the BBC and ITV are geo blocking content. However, certain VPN services are still able to overcome this obstacle for those abroad.

Has all the 2017 races on there now and if it's like last season, it will have the 2018 races in full — plus support categories — the day after each event. It wasn't Geo-locked either.



The only problem with this is neither the BTCC or ITV tell anyone it exists.

Tried it out and it was indeed geoblocked. Thanks for the suggestion anyway. Might have to get a VPN

Apologies, it definitely wasn't earlier in the 2017 season, sounds like that has changed. Which is incredibly frustrating and a big shame.

I don't think you'll be too far wrong with that prediction.
My own would be that they will sponsor two cars (Caine and Hill?), and there will be a different sponsor for the other two.

If I remember correctly Hill & Bushell are paired in one team with Caine and Thompson in the other so, so either or pairing wise I’d guess.

Hopefully this will secure the drivers a bit more as whilst signed I know some were short in funds for the whole season.

It was only ever going to be this give the TBLs are assigned and there are only the 4 CCs that are already with HARD

I honestly don't understand the long names, they end up being to too long and never used, so there mustn't be much in it for the sponsor. Motorbase will just be known as Team Shredded Wheat or Motorbase 9 times out of 10, same with Team Hard. It will be the same for Manor in WEC, no one will call them CEFC TRSM Racing. I just hope non of theses teams team up and run a Mercedes AMG W09 EQ Power +, that would be taking the biscuit name wise.

The sponsor can use it which is the key thing, and they have the additional branding that comes as a result which they can make use of.

^exactly that, how many times do you see "proud sponsors of" or twitter accounts of things like RCIBRACING which is nothing to do with the team, just marketing at that brand getting interest in them and their products on social media

BMW Pirtek Racing - Fine.

AutoAid/RCIB Insurance Racing - It's got a blinkin' slash in it!
Amdtuning.com with Cobra Exhausts - Doesn't sound like a racing team.
Power Maxed Racing - Fine.
Laser Tools Racing - Fine.
Wix Racing with Eurotech - There's the pet-hate 'with' again.
Simpson Racing - Fine.
Duo Motorsport with HMS - Sounds even worse when you read out the full title which is Duo Motorsport with Handy Motorsport.
