Feel free to plot Team Straegies via PM on this site when we get closer.

I'll try to find out specifics about the race itself, but the contest will be very similar to what we have done all season. I'll need to figure out if it is th same qualifying format, the Milestones section, etc. for it.

I suggest that you PM your teammates as a precaution to let them know how we will do Surfer's Paradise so that they are aware of it, in case ProRacer or CaptainCrunch aren't following this thread.

Give me some suggestions on how we can score this....

If you all plan pick strategies as a team, then submit your own individual picks based on those discussions, I can add up your point totals as a team at the end of the weekend to see who wins?

In case of a tie, whoever is closest to the tiebreaker among the tied team members (even if they are not the closest one of all) will break the tie.

Does that work for you?

Let me know.

Tim you are an absolute gem.

Split looks fine to me.

There could be a couple of ways we could do this. 3 entries for each team or 1 team entry.

I don’t really mind either way

Whatever you all decide is fine with me, but if you do three entires and I add them together, you can vary your picks strategically among the team members to potentially get more points.

Adds yet another level of thought to the process that might prove to be very interesting.

Good point Tim. 3 picks per team is good for me

Hey everyone, I just got back from my internet being down a whole week.
This sounds like a pretty good plan I'm down!

Hi Tim

Still having major problems getting onto this site (can only get on sporadically), can you please email me the SP Pick Em details.

Also we CaptainCrunch is missing in action, have sent a note to TT admin asking to email him and check his emails. Failing that can we have you as a substitute CaptainCrunch??

Try e-mailing Alwaysfirst if you can't reach the Captain. AF is next in the pecking order and was usually very good at his/her picks.

But keep trying Captain Crunch to make it even, since he did participate for virtually the entire season and you still have time before Surfers paradise is actually run.

I have PM'ed Alwaysfirst to consider being on your team in case CaptainCrunch does not get back with you.

I'll let you know what I hear from AF.

In case CaptainCrunch and Alwaysfirst do not participate, here is "Plan B" for the Surfers Paradise Contest:

4 teams

Peno (1st)
ProRacer (8th)

ThePenguin (2nd)
drewdawg (7th)

drdisque (3rd)
OpenWheel (6th)

NAC (4th)
Daisy (5th)

That is an even 4-way split among 8 participants.

Your thoughts?

I have sent a PM to all of you who participated in this final race weekend about the Final "Pick 'Em" Contest of the season.

The thread has been up for at least 3 weeks.

The Deadline is about 18 hours away to enter and I will score your picks as pairs by adding up your points picks to your partner's points picks to see which "Team" wins in Australia.

Please enter...I'm interested in seeing how it comes out.
