I've said this before,it is oh so wrong that some gready little git is still allowed a monopoly on the GP Circus. It is also very wrong for him to dictate to all involved with F1 on how it will be run.I do not understand the reason why they all still put up with him when the TV companys/Teams and circuit owners really could still do it without his dictatorship!

Thanks Gregor,it's great to see these shots, shows that the circuit in this section has hardly changed.Probably made more difficult by the fact that it was a public road down to the bottom of the hill.

Not 2009, but fab footage of 2008.
Shows the magic of SPA when great cars and drivers are on-track!

Real music helps a bit too...

Delta,

Looks closer to 30's to me. The loop turning left as we look towards Kemmel was the original circuit from the 20's. The bit that resembles the current configuration was built in the thirties I believe.

Interesting to see that "Pauls Place" is in the far left of the original photo, the Med Center in the current Paddock that is.

I thought it was more related to the original southern european roadside shrine tradition - but then encouraged to go over the top by commercial influences and, well, other stuff.

Well they look like pre-65 genuine Appendix K wooden trees to me unlike the oversize cheating carbon fibre trees everyone is using now.
