I had the pleasure of working alongside TY and if ever there was a man who loved his motorsport Ty was it. He even rescheduled some of his treatment so he wouldn't miss out on some of the events he really wanted to do.
RIP Ty you will be missed. |

Yep, worked a couple of events with Ty, remember him telling me at Le Mans in 08 how bad things were, but typically for him, it was'nt going to get him down and as flagwaver said, he had some of his treatment in the off season so he could fit racing in.
Bye,Ty. |

Having worked with Ty for many years at many various events all I can say is that he will be sorely missed and the marshalling world is a poorer place without him
Regarding the many comments regarding Ty getting better, he was on the road to recovery but took a relapse the middle of last week and sadly passed away in his sleep on Saturday. Sleep well mate! |

I am really sorry to hear this I knew he was ill but not that bad. I was also one of the marshals along with Gary Heale that Ty took time to show us round Dubai. I last spoke to him at the GP. A nice guy. RIP Ty.

I can't remember how many years that I've known Ty but it must be around 12 or 13 years. Each time we met up we'd have a chat and a laugh. The last time I saw Ty was at last years British Grand Prix when he told me he was in remission. I was so happy for him. He made a point of bringing a bottle of French red wine down to my tent for me which I drank a few weeks later whilst toasting his recovery.
The next bottle of red wine will be drank in your memory. R.I.P. mate |

Terrible news, RIP Ty and our thoughts are with his family and friends. A true gentleman, who you really only got to know properly after spending a few weekends on post with. I was fortunate enough to have done this and benefited from his vast knowledge and his wicked dry sense of humour. What a brave guy - I have never known anyone with an attitude like his throughout such a terrible illness. A sad loss to all.
