Remembering THE BIRMINGHAM SUPERPRIX

I've been helping at the BMAG and thought this forum would be a good place to post this,

"Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery are developing a new series of galleries exploring the history of Birmingham from prehistory to the present day. The final section entitled ‘Your Birmingham’ will look at significant 'people', 'places' and 'events' in Birmingham since 1945 and will use recorded interviews and personal objects. As part of the project we are hoping to include stories and memories of any or all of the Birmingham Super Prix races (1986 , 1987, 1888 , & 1989)
As a result, we are requesting to conduct a recorded interview from a resident of Birmingham (spectator/participant of the event), collect a personal object and obtain permission to use photographs to feature in our 'Events ' section of the gallery.
If you are interested in helping with the project or know some one who would please get in touch.
We look forward to your response,

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery"

Effectively, if anyone who attended, or marshalled at the event, would be happy to take a little time out to talk about their experience of the Superprix, it would then be used in an exhibition at the museum.

Naturally being an exhibition it would be ideal if you had an item of memorabilia which can be presented at the exhibit alongside a transcript of the interview.

Finally contact details have been provided, however I should mention, the location of the interview can be arranged either at a place suitable to you, or at the museum itself.

Having read the other threads its clear there are a number of proud brummies who were lucky enough to attend (I was too young akkk), so please get in contact.
