Jordan in eleventh!? I can't see that happening.

I also think Minardi will improve but probably not by that much.

My thoughts (more for the season than testing):

1. Ferrari
2. Williams
3. McLaren
4. Renault
5. Jordan
6. Jaguar
7. Sauber
8. BAR
9. Toyota
10. Arrows
11. Minardi
12. Prost (if they make it)

hi Kelstea
Jordan F1 seem to have alot of support out there

but I just feel that they have been on the back foot later and now
with no naming sponsor big back steps should follow

I would expect the top teams to close up more for next year. Hence, there would be some tracks where some teams are better than the others, and vice versa... But on general terms...i think it should look like this (and hope so it comes true)

1)Ferrari
2)Williams
3)Mclaren
4)Renault
5)Jordan
6)Jaguar
7)Sauber
8)Arrows
9)Toyota
10)BAR
11)Minardi

Hmm... Crystal balls at this stage of the season, a great way of making yourself look silly. So

=1. Ferrari
=1. Williams
3. McLaren
4. Renault
=5. Jaguar
=5. BAR
=5. Jordan

All these 7 being pretty close, then a bit of a gap

8. Toyota
9. Sauber
10. Arrows

All Pretty close

11. Minardi

Another big gap

12. Prost, if they make it

Look mate, I accept that Arrows will be a lot better next season (maybe scoring a point or two extra ) But Stevie, they're not gonna score more points than Jag, Sauber, BAR or Jordan :P

A new car, designed by an former Ferrari designer(Petrucci worked at Ferrari for 12 years) and Sergio Rinland(who designed the Sauber C20)
combined with a factory Cosworth engine, looks OK to me

Can we just drop this please? Steve, I think you're assertions about Arrows are a little OTT - especially if you believe that they will get the same Cosworth which will be powering the Jags.

The Asiatech in the back of the Minardi will be better than last years - it has to be remembered it's a completely new engine, not the lump used by Arrows last season, and for Minardi, ANYTHING is better than that sodding European/Ford/Fondmetal monstrosity which has sat in the back of a superb chassis for the last four or five years.

When it comes down to it, it's going to be a close run thing between the second half of the grid - Jaguar, Arrows, Prost, Minardi, Renault and Toyota. I don't expect Minardi to finish last, nor Arrows - but I don't expect either of them to reach the top 8, let alone the top 6!

Are you honestly expecting Verstappen, a man who spends as much time on the track as off, and Bernoldi, who you seem to deem unable to drive even a sheep, to beat the likes of Sauber and their Ferrari engine? In the same breath I will state that I don't expect Minardi to do much either in 2002 - but I do believe that Yoong and whoever partners him will silence a lot of Minardi's critics, and that the PS-02 WILL score a point.

I'm just looking for a realistic outlook on things here - not the viewpoint you get when the Orange mist comes down...
