Hugewally should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Acura, Penske, Audi, etc all still do that (along with the Pugs). Nothing to do with their paddock tent.

T5 at Road America and T10 at Road Atlanta are similar in one more way: they both induce brain fade.

PLM Spotters Guide will be online on early Thursday morning. Its a slightly improved format with just the entries that are competing and we've had quite a bit of help from the teams (+images from the test).*

So, stay tuned.

I don't know why Peugeot is still going to this extreme-everyone knows/assumes that the Pug is using J dampers, and from what I understand, Inerters look like normal shock absorbers-only taking them apart reveals the flywheels.

I just think that Pug enjoys being unfriendly to American race fans(something that Panoz and Atherton probably don't like-remember the ALMS is "For the Fans"!), or they have something that they're still trying to hide that's responsible for their speed. And it may be something that still may not be fully legal or at least extremely important, as implied by their vigilance.

I don't think that Peugeot enjoys being unfriendly to anyone. When all is said and done, they are a race team out to win races, and they have every right to protect information which, if discovered by another team, might be used and erase some of their obvious speed advantage. Just because you can't walk into their workspace and chat up their mechanics and watch them work on the car like you could with Autocon or Intersport doesn't mean that they enjoy being unfriendly to Americans. They do the same thing in the LMS, in Europe.

I agree, Jim Hall and Hap Sharp were famous for their efforts to protect the Chaparral's "secrets" from "spies" and no one thought of them as unfriendly. They just had things they wanted to keep to themselves.

Well, Audi had a lot to hide in '06, and after Sebring they loosened up, as they probably guessed that everyone by then knew everything they needed to know about the R10.

But if Peugeot is running J dampers, they have nothing to hide-J dampers look like normal shocks, and only disassembly would reveal the inerter flywheels. So unless they have something else, they have nothing to hide. But Pruett said that the Pug guys at Sebring weren't very friendly to most anyone who got within sight's range of the 908. They were very insistant about not doing a descriptive video about the 908-which only fed speculation that they were using active suspension. And besides, photos of the 908's dash were already available at Ultimate Car Page.

I was not treated in an unfriendly manner by anyone from Peugeot at Sebring. Then of course, I'm not the media . I think that they very well may have something to hide other than J-dampers (which doesn't make it illegal). While the media and fans are not exactly treated to an in depth technical analysis of the 908, they do have to go through scrutineering at each round, where any illegalities should be uncovered.

I don't recall being able to stroll through the Audi camp, either.

Bob Riebe User has been fined for unsportsmanlike behaviour!
What will happen down there with the gasoline shortage?

Will it turn into a roach hotel, where you can check in but you can't check out, at least not if there is not enough gasoline for anyone to go anywhere.

What exactly happened to the Bell car? Not like it has a chance to win against the factory but I am curious.
