Don't look now ladies and germs, but the first official test session is scheduled to start in about 10 minutes and the PLM circus is underway. Probably the most interesting race at PLM in about 4 or 5 years! It'll be very interesting to see if Peugeot can use that speed wisely for 1000 miles and how well the ALMS P2s fare against the Peugeot. The ALMS P2s have done a pretty fair job of keeping up with the R10, now we'll see how they stack up against the 908 since they beat both the R10 & 908 at Sebring.

They are going stupid fast already - Audi 1.7s faster than the lap record after just 15 minutes of practice!

Teams need to pump out their chests or show who has bigger nads prior to race start.

Come on guys you all know racing is far more then between the Green and Checked flags

Gee Tom, racing was started for two reasons: to sell cars; and to see who has the biggest gonads.

It would seem some of the youts are not aware of either!

I think it was just a comment on how much the overall pace has increased this year, particularly thanks to Michelin pushing tyre technology forward. I don't think anyone disputes that there are always games going on in practice. By the same token, Audi is about the least likely to be playing games. Their slavish devotion to race pace is well-known.

Right on.

Marshall Pruett suggests that Audi taking nearly 2 seconds off the pole time is nothing. Peugeot banged in a lap around 1:05.6 on Sunday. That's right where Audi's simulations put them, interestingly.

I have been able to pick it up now and then. Nice to even get a little bit as a diversion at work.

I'm sure the first official test session doesn't really mean much, but it was nice to see the JMB Ferrari keep up with the ALMS GT2 big boys and to also get some reasonable times out of the LG Corvette and Panoz! Turner was also pretty frisky in the Vantage. Was also surprised to see Audi with fastest time in P1 and great time from Team LNT.

According http://www.endurance-info.com/article.php?sid=6494 Klien set the fastest lap of the 908 on his 2nd lap and he only learned the track today So expect some more improvements for Peugeot.

Looks like there is still a lot of moving and shaking in the entry list.

* #30 Intersport adds Georges Forgeois.
* #48 Corsa replaces Ralf Kelleners with Stefan Johansson.
* #07 Peugeot replaces Sarrazin with Gene?
* #21 PTG adds Andreas Wirth.
