WTCC at Brands Hatch/Marshal's Pass

Hiya folks,

I'm seriously thinking about seeing if I can volunteer for the WTCC, but whilst I was doing my research on it I happened across the MSVR Passes for 2009.

Now should I be accepted to Marshal, I'm assuming that I need to fill the form in and apply for one of these passes, hopefully getting it in time to go down to Brands Hatch on the 16th July. Would this seem correct to you wise BH regulars?

Thanks for your future help.

For such short notice you may be sent paper tickets, email/phone Mildred to check.

Thanks for the reply TwoSheds.

This morning I fired off an email to bhmarshals@... to see if the passes could be done at short notice. But I'll root out an email addy for Mildred and see if the paper method is ok. Would be great if I can do the meet.

And meet some more Orange folks

Cheers Dean.

I've sent Mildred an email explaining where I'm up to and if I could do the meet. So I'll give it the weekend and then send off for the pass etc if I've not heard back.

In the meantime I'll do a search for info on the camping situation and evening entertainment situation

Nice one Mike.

I'll catch you on the campsite hopefully or are you going under a proper roof?

Do we know which campsite we can use? Or does that information come out with any instructions we get?

Maybe two? - there's neither showers nor loos...otherwise you might get a bit lonely on post with the 'strange odour' you might be producing

Dave Scott did apologise for the c#ck-up at the Masters (?) at the following morning's briefing. I will be surprised if it happens again.

Sue and I will be there about 3 on friday afternoon wiv ze tent and all accoutrements, hopefully the showers and loo's will be there as in the past and lets hope the weather isnt like it was the first time the WTCC came to Brands, will never forget those immortal words from race control whilst trying to cram 6 people into a dog kennel on post 14......race start delayed try and get out of the rain!! pointless really as we were soaked to the skin and the ground around the post resembled the Somme....oh happy days!!

Remember it well. I was post chief on post 10 and we all made a dash for the med centre! Stood in there dripping all over the clean floor!
