1982-1986 FF1600 wanted for tomorrow
Below is email sent today by Neil McArthur of Opal Telecom.
Chris Chisnall our young pre 87 charger managed to destroy the rear of my 86 VD by reversing into the barriers on the inside of Old Hall The damage is such that it cannot be repaired for tomorrows Oulton round. Chris`s dad has asked me to ask if anyone can hire him a pre 87 car for tomorrow. He has trailer & cheque book at the ready. Either contact me on 07971 564838 or Graham Chisnall on 07971 574062. |

I am not sure who bought it but the guy who swapped Sarah Minshaws RF 86 for the RF 93 could be a good bet but you would have to speak to Jase to get the number

You'll know better than me Diz, but wouldn't a Pre 1982 be just as good given that points are awarded overall? Say that happened, Chris would have one overall points total and would appear in both classes D and E. Or would that not work?

No.
Points for all 5 classes are transferred from overall position points, but to the relevant class. So if Chiz drove say a class A car, or a class E etc., the points scored go to that class. Hence it must be a class D car in this instance. It wouldn't help his class D title challenge to get points in another class. Confused yet? |

But I thought you were having two championships in the NW - split at 1987 - in the same way that we're having one in the Midlands. So surely Class D is only a secondary aim to Pre 1987...
