Fay should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
HSCC Meeting - Donington Park 2nd April

On checking the list of marshals I seem to be extremely short (ie none) for the assembly area.

If anyone would like to do the Assembly Area for me, please send me a PM.

If anyone else would like to come and marshal also PM me or contact HSCC direct.

We have over 300 entries so it should be a very entertaining day. Hopefully without too many red flags.

Just a quick 'thank you' to everyone at Donington today. Sorry about the weather - great to get back to Surrey and be told "Oh - it's been a lovely day down here"!. Despite getting stuck with most races having two green flag laps and getting used to the new race control 'set up', we managed to get the last chequered flag out at 6.28. Not the HSCC standard of timekeeping we're used to but we'll do better next time!
Hope to see some of you at Cadwell Park on 23rd April and thanks, once again for all the help.

Hi John

It might have been fine in your part of Surrey but it poured down on and off here in Weybridge throughout Sunday and I left my car uncovered....

The Boat Race was good however despite the bad conditions and my favourite team Oxford won....

I would also like to pass my thanks on to all the marshals who turned up, it certainly made my job easier and meant I only had to move one observer.

I apologize for the lateness of the meeting finishing, but with the rain starting and most races having to have 2 warm-up laps, we were up against it. What made it worst was the fact that the DBT cars would not grid up properly in the pit lane and then did one lap and dived in the pits to change tyres. With the C of Cs feeling generous we allowed them time to change tyres and proceed round to the Startline again. If this had not happened we might have been finished by 6.00pm.

I have received a letter of thanks to all the marshals from Chris Sharples, who raced in the DBT.

If anyone would like a copy of the letter, please PM me.

Chris is also the Chairman of the HSCC, so I feel that his thanks and appreciation is all the more meaningful!

I met Chris on Friday at the launch of the new pit lane - what a delightful gentleman he is. He spoke very highly of marshals and I believe he may be looking at ways in how to thank them for their hard work.

I know that Chris is very focussed on doing everything we can to make marshalling with the HSCC an enjoyable and rewarding experience (despite having to work with me )
