Delta, You haven't missed much. Just a load of English aristocracy and Kensington & Chelsea dwellers shovelling free sandwiches down their throats quicker than they can drive their cars round the circuit. Give me the company of mechanics any day.

Like Roger I am lucky enough to be at both - but highlight of the weekend will surely be our very own Terry doing demo's and upstaging bigger stars in other people's cars ;o)
What are you demo'ing - last year it was vintage caravans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am serious!

Ecurie Hutchison will be at the Nurburgring/Nordschleife meeting, with hospitality all-found and a free race entry for the Junior!

Also supporting the CSCC gang in the 2 x 200km races on Saturday and Sunday - on the Ring/Nordschleife combined - we did 12.5 min laps last year in the Lancia!

Here's hoping for sunshine like last year

Comte Michel de Graves will be with you in Germany driving his Delta prepared 1958 Volpini. Ashurst Junior Grand Prix racing have the great distinction of the oldest car, the heaviest car and the heaviest driver. Anybody join me for a spot of tiffin at the back of the field (I will bring the picnic)?

The vast majority of driver/owners that are in a position to be invited want to do Goodwood and can buy an entry to Spa.I don't happen to agree with the majority view that Goodwood is the thing to do ,I presumably those who voted for Spa have not got a Woodgood car or can't get an invite,so the original question is not relevant

at the time I started this thread there was a chance that the two would clash but as things have panned out you are right.

Double act again.

But yes, I stand guilty of voting for Spa for selfish reasons. However I've driven Goodwood a few times and I do like the circuit so if there were a chance to race there I'd be on the list.

I agree with that Peter, fantastic circuit but the whole thing?Been once, and only going [possibly] out of respect for A,the guy who has asked me to do it and B,the friend who suggested that I should be asked.Other than that its Spa every time!.

Checked with the Drivers yesterday and found the majority opinion is that Goodwood is not considered a good circuit with no flow.(as well as being dangerous)
I was there in 66 and people couldn't wait to get to Thruxton.
Those same people ,now I read, tell anyone who wants to listen how wonderful it was!Suppose they can get a drive that way in the "when wes"class using someone else's money.
Chinese Party this year at Goodwood.Stick a Gold Medel round your neck and buy some Lycra pants and go as a typical British cyclist visiting Peking

Spa 6 hrs is one of the finest Old Crocks Historic races and the meeting forgetting all the B/S is the one to attend if you are an owner or Driver. As a spectator Woodgood is much more organised

I have a special 'place' for Spa, of Henri and Alice, just wish Alice had never fried that beautiful Ardennes ham to go with the eggs, and also the circuit was what it was, to stop by the 'kink' and on that narrow strip of tarmac, and in my minds eye Pedro & Seppi still thunder by completing a thousand K's in around four and a quarter hours, G/Wood will never have the charisma for me, the six hours is as good as it gets as a replacement, a pity it does not attract the spectator levels of the garden party in Sussex. I am fortunate will be at both.
