Jared should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
According to speedvision.com, Cadillac has terminated the remaining contract for Riley & Scott to build and campaign the Cadillac LMPs. However, it is expected that GM will continue on Caddy's three-year program to win Le Mans.

The Corvette program is also under consideration, but may have dodged (no pun intended) being cancelled by winning the ALMS race at Texas last weekend.

The really bad part about GM's racing program is that they will most likely not continue winning. The LMP project is about 3 or 4 years behind the current level that Audi has achieved. Riley & Scott are being scapegoated for a half-assed attempt at LeMans. The Team Corvette effort that won at Texas was not there because of GM, a private company known as AER sponsored the car for the race. I cannot remember the owner of AER's name but he and Fellows go way back into his Trans Am years. This only goes to show you the shallow depth of support GM has for their own team.

Al I can say is HA HA HA! GM's stupity catches up wioth them(again).

But wait, didn't those caddy commericals praise their team for "success" at le mans? So why the glum looks. HA HA. They weren't exagerrating, were they. No, they were flat out lying

I suppose it does hurt ALMS in that the lmp grid is somehwat reduced(not that caddy entered many events), and the field could use a small boost(luckily two r/s development cars have been entering recent rounds boosting the grid).

What would really hurt, though, is if they did cancel the vette program. With the Viper most likely out in 2001 and the Vette almost equal to the Viper, they'd be leaivng just as they are about to reach the fruits of their labor. Well, not GM's labor, they didin't put much into the program, but Pratt & Miller's

GM

I have heard that the Corvette effort may be cancelled. Since there may not be a Viper Team to race against, they may put all efforts into Trans Am with customer support programs.

The Cadillac LMP will go on. Rumor has G-Force building the cars.
