Normally the black car, which he was driving in Brands, is for dry conditions, the white car for wet! The noise problem in Bands, it is simple to explain... we were too loud! But everyone from the event organisation knows this in advance, therefore this problem was a "big surprise" for us. Christian EuroBOSS-Racing |

Something else I was wondering. On the Zandvoort entry list, Tom Coronel is shown driving (I'm assuming) Klaas Zwart's Ferrari. I know Tom has driven for Ascari before but Zwart must be feeling generous to do that! Speedblood |

It is the Ferrari from Klaas Zwart! Tom Coronel is his "son-in-law" (hope it is the correct designation in english) and the daughter of Klaas (Paulien Zwart) got a little baby, on 10th July this year, with him! Tom won the 2005 Zolder EuroBOSS race in a Ascari 4.0l Judd V10, i think he is also very fast in this car! We will see it this weekend... Why is one Dallara Nissan in Class A and one in Masters?

I think also Karl-Heinz Becker must in the EBMasters class, because of the technical specification. The entry list came with these class names from my "BOSS" (Hello Roger)! I forgot to ask him what is correct, sorry! I make an update... Christian EuroBOSS-Racing |

I'm mildly interested. How competitive is the Dallara Nissan?

The Ascari team are going to have their work cut out to run 5 cars! Have they ever run that many in a race before? And yes a sound test would be cool! Speedblood |

Heikki Kovalainen set a faster time with this car at the Eurospeedway in Germany (2004), than our fastest EuroBOSS driver (Scott Mansell, Benetton 4.0l V10) in the same year under the same weather conditions! I mean in EuroBOSS good for podium places. ...and the sound is also very impressing! Christian EuroBOSS-Racing |

After seeing Nick Dalli's name there it reminded me of the best EuroBOSS race's i've ever seen. It was in 2003 at brands hatch (where else!) The Goddard/Zwart battle was really exciting until they crashed! Speedblood |

"The Goddard/Zwart battle at Brands" yes it was exciting until Zwart took Earl out at Druids after he had been nailed in to Paddock Hill bend by him. That was what promted Dave Shelton to withdraw this Benettons from the series although one is back with Nigel Greensall.

I think, it was not a fair maneuver of Klaas. Dave Shelton was at our race at Brands this year and he still love the series! He said to Roger Cowman (EB promotor), if it is possible that he will come back to all the following races this year (with Nigel Greensall)! Christian EuroBOSS-Racing |

Great to see one is back though, it'd be great to see more as well. One other observation, (a bit silly) but this years schedule looks to be the best yet. If all the remaining races go ahead, the series will have visited 7 countries! UK, Belgium, Netherlans, Ireland, France, Germany and Spain. The series will live up to it's title! Looks set to be the days highlight. Never mind the F3 race!
I'm assuming that it is 17:15 local time. If so, is that 16:15 local time over here? Can't wait to hear that Ferrari! Speedblood |

That seemed quite a good race! Shame it had to be redflagged!
THAT FERRARI SOUNDED SO NICE! The camera didnt seem to work well with me, it showed a bit of racing then froze then carried on, then froze again! Did that all throughout the race. Laursens start was really good! On a couple of occasions I thought Coronel was close to running in to the back of Laursen. Wouldnt of made him popular! I didnt see the move where Coronel passed Laursen though. The Thuis, Van Eerd and D aubreby battle was quite interesting. Thuis and Van Eerd where much quicker in a straight line and D aubreby was much quicker round the back of the circuit. Zwart must of been a bit miffed by his problem. Sorry I'm going on a bit! Just realised, I shouldn't be writing the race report! (Sorry EuroBOSS) Speedblood |

One of the best EuroBOSS races ever!
I hope many of you have enjoyed the battle for the places via Live TV... Result-Race 1 1 Tom Coronel Ferrari V12 2 Johnny Laursen Ascari Judd V10 3 Patrick D'Aubreby Benetton Ford HB V8 4 Frits van Eerd Tyrrell Cosworth V8 5 Pierre Schroeder Ascari Judd V10 6 Roger Kilty Reynard Cosworth V8 7 Tony Hansford Reynard Cosworth V8 8 Terry Sayles Dallara Judd V10 9 Karl-Heinz Becker Dallara Nissan V6 10 Carlos Tavares Dallara Nissan V6 11 Walter Colacino Lola Alfa Romeo V6 12 Henk de Boer Reynard Cosworth V8 (out after three laps with technical problems) 13 Klaas Zwart Ascari Judd V10 Henk Thuis/Ascari Judd, normally third, but disqualified after the race, because he was in a wrong start position! Race had begun with a Safety Car phase after the first lap, because a "bad" start from Klaas Zwart (the completely electric was collapsed) and ended 1:30min before the normal finish with a red flag after a spin from D`Aubreby and therefore the car was in a dangerous position on the track... Very good battle from Laursen/Coronel for the first place and nearly a dramatic fight between Thuis, D`Aubreby and van Eerd for the next places! Race 2 on Sunday over 30min, start local time 15.10 (UK 14.10)! Christian EuroBOSS-Racing |
