BMMC N.E.Region Training Day Nov.3rd.2013

The N.E. Region of the BMMC are holding their end of Season Training day on Sunday 3rd. November 2013. This is an ideal time for all those Marshals looking for training signatures that are required for their upgrade to compliment their attendance signatures gained this year. All Marshals are welcome to attend, as the day is not restricted to just N.E. Region Marshals, .

The Modules to be covered are:-

Basic Marshalling: An introduction to Marshalling, covering the basic principles, requirements and expectations – ideal for cadets, all trainees, refreshers.

Fire Theory: Classroom based session on understanding motorsport fire risks, checking equipment and how to use it effectively, knowledge of fire prevention actions and procedures.

Basic First Aid: An introductory session covering basic principles and guidelines on what to do whilst waiting for professional assistance.

Communication: An interactive session covering communications with different personnel at a race event, and the different ways of communicating; as well as use of phones and radios.

Specialist: A session dedicated to marshalling practices within Assembly/Paddock, Pit Lane, Start Line and Race Control.

Practical Carousel:[/B] An afternoon session comprising of a variety of practical marshalling activities including Fire Practical (incorporating checking and handling of equipment and extinguishing a car fire safely. Sorry observation only for Under 18’s,) Mock Incident handling, (covering what to do in the event of an incident, handling drivers and vehicles for recovery, communicating with colleagues on post and track care.), Controlled Car Roll, Oil Treatments and Rescue Unit.

The Class Room sessions will be held in The Trinity Centre, Louth, Lincs, with the Practical Sessions taking place at Cadwell Park. A cooked lunch will be provided as well as Tea/Coffee and biscuits available during the day.

All other Modules will be included in the N.E. Region Training Day to be held in February next Year.

Obviously there will be a limit on the numbers attending, so get your attendance forms in now as it will be a first come first served basis.
