A whole month without V8Supercar... not sure why that makes sense, only that it is so...

Off to Western Australia, Mr Tander's 'home' track... one that has had some brilliant racing over the years... and some huge hits of the bump coming onto the front straight!

Three races for the Perth Super Sprint round of the V8SC Championship series, 2x 60km races on Saturday, 1x 200km race on Sunday.

Wanneroo traditionally favours a strong engine too but also great turning at the end of the straights, some big steering angles, and the usual bump and grind from the blokes at the back.. and the front.. and in the middle. The story here is sand... on the track, off the track, gets in the engine, in the tyres... its EVERYWHERE...!!

The usual suspects should be on the money here, 888, Tekno, HRT & PRA.. but the pilot being successful in some squads seems to be different each weekend... which is cool for us!

Will Mr Ambrose be back? Will Mr Pye keep in the seat? Will LDM build up another car from somewhere just because they can?

A little while til we find out... then its GO GO GO!!

Is the Perth SuperSprint shown live on Network Ten? Or is it an April Fools Joke? From the timetable which for some reason was released way early then usual, which has the Sunday race starting at 2.20pm and finishing at 3.50pm local time.

For the record will not be live on ten, although i think you are suggesting that because its live 5.50 pm melbourne time, how will they show it at 4 pm on ONE

guess we have to wait for the broadcast info to come out

worked it out in the end what you meant,

it will be interesting to see what ten do here, Im assuming they will have a sunday night showing on One. No F1 clash that weekend either

As far as I know there is no more live V8SC on 10 until Townsville. We then get Townsville, Sandown, Bathurst, Gold Coast and Homebush, which, together with Clipsal makes the 6 events FTA.

So no, 10 will not be showing Barbagello live unless there are contractual changes in the wind.

Apparently no there won't be live coverage of Perth SuperSprint.
Instead we get RPM at 4pm on Sunday and on TEN + ONE at 8.20pm AEST

Some in the WASCC or whomever is running the circuit now keep talking it up but the reality is the state government is running a massive deficit, have no money to spend on the track upgrade (Wasting it all on a worthless football ground) and that is where it needs to come from. So any amount of preparation can be done but it amounts to very little. Allegedly.

Also looking at the schedule it is uninspiring at best. Utes, Dunlop series and little else. IPRA gets a run last thing Sunday which atleast gives us something to watch whilst the "crowd" leaves for home. If it rains as forecast there may well be plenty of room for everyone.

FTA coverage will be 8.30 -9.30 pm on One on saturday and sunday

repeated on ch 10 from 11.30

for those with fox
Friday 10.55 -5.30
Saturday 11 -6.30

Wall went out on used soft tyres at end which promoted him to the top.

A few others went out on softs also, not all got a benefit

Mr McLaughlin's car was always light years ahead of the other one. It is alleged that the previous #34 did not have the same development plan as #33. The cars are thought to be very GT3-inspired in their chassis traits, so Scotts old car should suit Mr Wall well.

2 good wins for Winterbottom - pity the races where not an extra 10/15 laps where the tyres went right off & the cars where sliding around causing other cars to maybe overtake!

The Scott Pye experiment at DJRTP has run its course I reckon - he is getting nothing out of the car that Marcos couldn't get & after 2 rounds I reckon Marcos should harden up & get back in the beast - just in time for Winton
