Newbie alert!!
Hi all, I've done a couple of Sundays at Donington but this will be my first full weekend camping.

I am thinking of bringing the wife and kids (5 & 8) to this and I'm wondering is the marshals campsite suitable for families too or is it exlusively marshals only?

Looking forward to it either way

As much as I'd love to do the Mini's at the Rock, I can only do Saturday this weekend.
As Donington is closer to home, the trucks it is!

Also, is the marshals camp site open Friday night or just Saturday night?

I'm there Sunday. The last 2 times the trucks have been to Donington, I've flagged on post 2 and 21. Having 20 trucks coming towards you at Redgate is quite hairy

I'll be there for both days, first truck meet, really looking forward to it!

The campsite will be open Friday afternoon, but with regards to letting families camp I'm not sure, this is something I have wondered before too.

Ta,

Cheers michaelG,
I can't see it being a problem to have the clan camp there too.

If we get there and they're not allowed in then I'll have to spend the day driving them home again!

Matt, camp site will be open Friday and Saturday nights but be aware that there is limited facilities and nothing for the kids to do but entertain themselves. Don't forget the ear plugs for the low flying planes in and out till late and early morning. See you there

They should run amok and pull up tent pegs

Thanks for the info.
Nintendo DS and portable DVD player will be the first things packed.
That'll keep them quiet.

See ya there!

I wouldn't expect too much, it was waterlogged last weekend at the 750 meet, will be interesting to see what it is like now. Think they have forecast rain for tomorrow too?

Get there early and don't pitch down the bottom where it'll be very boggy.

That was a brilliant weekend. Though I'm dog tired now after a 4am start this morning.

Even the missus said she'd camp there again!
Great little campsite, nice clean toilets, fairly even ground that wasn't spoilt by the downpours.

I'm terrible at remembering names but hi to the guys we met there.

Many thanks
