Hornish deserves a third car not that he's going to get one. Although with a full time Nationwide commitment for 2013 he's likely to make a handful of selected Cup starts like he did before AJ hit trouble. Anyway Indycar is a total dud financially so I wouldn't draw any broader conclusions from the decisions he might make for the Indycar arm of his racing empire.

I have heard a rumour that Marcos Ambrose could be taking Stanley/Dewalt back to Roush Fenway in the #6 Ford...

Would be good to see Taz in the 6, WITH sponsors...that combined with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in the 17, it would make a very strong new duo at Roush.

- Ricky will attempt to qualify for Dover next weekend...

- Penske possibly willing to re-hire the 'dinger and more ...

Markus Niemelä has signed an agreement with the BMR team in NASCAR K&N Pro-competition running the All American Speedway track 13 October. Niemelä signed contract provides options for the period 2013 either the NASCAR K&N Pro or the Nationwide Series.

Ambrose is a good and talented guy but his outright potential is still unclear in Cup. It's hard to imagine him reach the standards of Stewart and Johnson..

The Drew in as crew chief for Ambrose, Mike Ford gone.

Top 10 car back to midpack certainly didn't put Mr Ford in a good light. Blickensderfer has some good form, hopefully will drag the car back to top 10

A closer working relationship with car supplier Roush-Fenway perhaps? Not just Mr Ambrose's crew boss, but R-F's man inside RPM?
