German GP notes

Gutierrez brought a 3 place penalty into the race from the last round, costing him 6 points and the constructor 3 points.

Hamilton as a result of his accident in Q1 (whilst qualifying for Q2 and getting the bonus points, required a gearbox change resulting in a 5 place drop with 10points penalty against him and 5 against Mercedes.

Ericsson failed to set a qualifying time but was allowed to race. This results in a 50 point penalty for Ericsson. The team then broke parc ferme
rules resulting in being made to start from the pitlane. There was no loss
of place, however the Stewards applied an in-race penalty.

Massa failed to finish due to the first lap accident, and Sutil officially failed to finish as a result of a spin. Kvyat in the Toro Rosso and Grosjean in the Lotus failed to finish due to technical reasons of an ignition issue (resulting in fire) and a cooling issue respectively.
Toro Rosso and Lotus both have a 5 point constructors penalty.

Results time

Little Hotels take their second event win of the season with 96 points,
four ahead of Rude Nose Racing on 92 pts with Magc Cats Racing and Rolling Chicane Race sharing third with 87 points.

In the overall
We have a change of lead with Racing for Sealand 728pts taking a three point lead over Tuk Tuk Racing 725pt. Alcoholics Racing Team (715 pts)
remain third but close up on the leaders.

There are no changes of any great note in the fantasy drivers champ after
the Germany round. Remember though if you are thinking of making changes,
it's a quick turnaround with Hungary this coming weekend, remember changes
have to be made before FP1 starts to be counted

The 50 pt penalty really is rather harsh. I know you can't change the rules part way through the season, but maybe these penalties need to be reviewed by the stewards in time for next season, if this is going to be run again.

My team finally had a good race though, despite another the first corner incident.
