We will be heading to Essay this year. Had a great trip there a couple of years ago and am really looking forward to this one.

Hoping for a big entry with a few Brits to cheer on. Will be interesting to see how the Joker will work as it is a notoriously difficult track to overtake at.

Has anyone pre-booked their weekend tickets through this website? Wondering if it is worth the risk to save 10 Euros, especially as my French is a little ropey.

Should be there again, always bought tickets at the gate, seems less hassle! Those who havnt been to Essay, don't expect the campsite to be quite as quiet as Lydden. It can all get a little wild at times but that's all part of the French rallycross experience. I might not think the same though at 3 o'clock on the Saturday & Sunday morning! As for the joker the exit is right at the end of the lap so with the leader usually taking it on the last lap I doubt we will have many battles on the track.

I will go four the 5th time to Essay ! ( i did also 2 times Kerlabo and one time Mayenne).
I think to watch it is one of the best tracks in europe. i also think that the joker lap is ok. not in the first corner and it is a very short one!

After my adventures in Kerlabo 3 years ago i decide never go back on the camping by the French ERC.( i realy don't like the atmospheer there) So we take a hotel again.

The race is realy word it! there will be around 40-50 supercars, 40-50 super 1600 and i think around 14 touringcars!!!!
Definatly the best entry of the year!

after this race i go to Höljes (4th time in a row), there i like the camping in my opinion more friendly! It is the best race of the year!

Then Belgium, Holland ( i live in Eindhoven so it is very near by so i see the races there te last 22 years!)Then the first time to Austria!. maybe also to final round in Ceska Lipa ( i've bin there the last 4 years but last year it was difficult to get tickets. so i have to think about it).
To make it compleet I also did lydden the last 3 times and 8 times Buxtehude.

So maybe see you in one of those races!

Show off!

Looking forward to Essay. Doubt we'll get 40-50 supercars or super1600s, but the entries are always fantastic in France, so hoping to get 35+ - see list here http://erc.20minutes-blogs.fr/media/...2079404701.pdf

Would be great to hear if anyone has used the site that my brother alluded to above, saving 10 Euros would be pretty handy!

This will my fifth Time at Essay second time of Camping! And beleave it or not there is a part of the campsite where you can get to sleep without to much disturbance but i will keep that just for me!

Regarding the site mentioned above I have used it but at the time there was a surcharge for usuing the service and they got lost in the post didnt work out much cheaper, but could be better now!

Essay is an awesome circuit and the supercars dropping down through the compression is just awesome the Volvos will fly and the atmosphere in France is brilliant they appreciate wild driving styles and proper racing.
Cant Wait

So who might we expect to be added to the above list?

OMSE Fiestas in the Supercars. I guess not Proctor. The other Volvo C30.
Godfrey in Super 1600
Bonnet in Touring Cars?

I read somewhere that Julian's only round was Lydden and won't do other ERCs. Such a shame as he has that car singing at the moment and could get top 4 or 5 in the championship. Hopefully he can be persuaded as it's great to cheer him on! I don't know where I read that, so for the same of some of the sticklers on here, I'll quote rallycrossworld.com, rallycross.com and erc24.com as a source. That ought to do it.

Be good to see Bonnet out in the BMW.

Saw (on Rallycrossworld this time) that Procter isn't out for a while.

There is already a new update with 83 drivers.

Strange.... Only Foust is on the list for OMSE.
Then we still miss some drivers. especially from france in a Peugeot ( Paillier Sr, Paillier Jr, Sarazin, Peu, Knapick, Deslandes)
Poirier (BMW)
Borseth??, Jensen ??, Valle ?? Eriksson??

S1600:
Holten, Sagnier, Lemonnier, Hello, Bergeon, Dubourg

Touringcars: Maybe Bonnet in BMW??

So i think there will be some more drivers so we have against the 100 drivers that weekend! !

I'm really looking forward to it!

Holten rolled it big time in Norway, so might be a doubt.

Be good to see Paillier(s) and Peu out, as well as Deslandes in the S1600 (thought he drove a Saxo?) and Poirier. Eriksson, Valle and Borseth would also be great additions. Some D finals, maybe?

Cannot wait!

If i'm correct Holten goes to Portugal after his roll last weekend erc.20-blogs.fr

Deslandes will drive a peugeot 207 supercar (i think the old car from knapick). Knapick has drove the last 2 french rounds in a Paillier car (in Faleyras in the ERC car of Pailier).

The French drivers will come because it is also the 3th round in the French Championship in Supercar en S1600.

I think Eriksson will do not all ERC rounds. and beacause foust is allready on the list i think he will not start in Essay ( i hope i'm wrong)

Holten: You should better not quote that French blogger teenager who is usually dealing in opinions after taking out some [here Norwegian > French] info from the Google Translator rather than in first hand information.

Damn him? Where did I do that in my posting? But yes, I have a problem with kids that sometimes make a big noise without knowing (or just ignoring?) the plain facts behind things. And with those who come and say "look, I’ve made up a website for the sake of Rallycross, and, therefore, have all the rights in the World to get a press accreditation to show all you old idiots that I can do the job much better than you do". Me and my colleagues did not start our careers as RX covering journalists with a big mouth, but by doing a good job. And we are still here after all these years, while many pompous asses came and went.
