If you do anything to the mechanicals your warranty goes out the window. Before starting to do the car up, you have to ask yourself, why you're doing it up and what do you hope to achieve, once you've answered those questions the next step will be obvious.

If you want to make it look cool, lower it as much as possible, fit a wild boddy kit and enormous wheels, watch out for ekrbs and speedbumps though.

If you want to improved the performance of your car, get a free flowing exhasut, low restriction air filter, cold air intake, bigger wheels with sticky low profile tyres, stiffer springs and gas shocks.

Where are you from antwan?
Wingswest do good bodykits, and Jackson Racking Supercharge Civics for lunch. Try a search engine like www.yahoo.com and type in "Civic modifications" or something like that.

Just how much money are you planning to spend?

if its a VTEC engine a Turbo kit goes well on them (about $7k australian), but first, air filter, exhaust and other minor breathing mods

Coilovers: bloody expensive, needs new points fo the suspension to be put in (and irreversible) but i dont know if its harder or easier with the wishbone suspension to get it fitted (and its expensive, $1500 for a used Tein set, not inc. fitting)

Airbag susp: again expensive, but usually only used with mini-trucks that drop a lot of height (and need to be raised to be driven again)

Rims: i think 18s are about the limit for that model civic, and u will almost definitely need guard rolling to fit them in)

Kits: i suppose somone makes a BTCC replica kit, thats all i can reccomend, i cant say ive seen a real nice 2002 civic kit

and always remember rims before lowering, or u might find that you wont be able to fit your rims in if u do it the other way!

hope this helps

Also, if I put cold air intke and a new exhaust on the civic, do you think that will cause warranty probs orcould I just easily put the stock stuff back onif I have probs???
