skells22 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
gp2 round 2 Bahrain 2013

once again we had a dq after qualfying when Canamasa got angry with Ceccon and move across his car, if you feel you got block just take it up with the stewards, not on track.
also Giovesi was pen, in this case blocking Cecotto and has a 3 grid place drop

that was a very good lap by Leimer this afternoon and lets see how this race gets on

I think with that sort of pace advantage, Leimer will walk it. He'll just manage his pace a second or two in front of the pack and look after his tyres. Much closer behind him though, plenty of action in the battles for points.

Some very worrying driving standards creeping into GP2 though

Where did RE get that silly advantage from?!

A very random qual and race shake out took place by looks of it?

MTV3MAX commentator Timo Pulkkinen said that the GP2 would be better to have two half-hour qualifying as translated grid second race.

I'd prefer to see no points for quali or FL, and a sprint race on Saturday. Then a top 10 grid reverse for a Sunday feature race with pitstops

They might nog have enought time for the long race on sunday. Also, I think it is smart to have the most important race on saturday, instead of on sunday, when all the attention goes to the F1-race.

Another argument to do it on the saturday; at some races tickets are very expensive, or sold out for sunday. A visit to the track on saturday is a real opportunity for people who can't go on sunday, and the main GP2-race would makes it really interesting.

The format has been proven to be good. It produces great racing, talk about Bird's win! This was some fantastic racing. It might not be the best field, but with so much strategy the racing is just awesome awesome!
Now that we have great entertainment product, everybody involved should start thinking how to make money out of it.

Don't they already make money out of it, isn't that why it's soo expensive?

Yes, absolutely. The priority should be to have better talent coming through

They have 26 drivers * 2 mln = 52 mln revenue. Exclude travel, Dallara costs, wages, team profit and you have not a very impressive figure for a series right below a global sport like F1. They do make money, but little money and mostly in the wrong way - talentless drivers. On top of it GP2 was bought for a huge amount of money and so far I doubt there's a good ROI. My point was they can make lots more money through traditional ways, not just by hiking prices for car parts.

As a general note I am always amazed how Moto2/3 has so many sponsored teams in contrast with GP2/3
