1)Why Jamie Green does not race in Macau?
2)Why Danny Watts race for Alan Docking instead of his team Hi-tech?

Green's contract with Carlin finished at the end of the British F3 season, his only hope then was Euroseries frontrunners ASM - they won in Macau and Korea last year with Gommendy and Pla - but they're now using Mercedes engines, and Mercedes aren't letting their teams go to Macau and Korea.

I could speculate on the reasons for Watts going with ADR, but I won't

I doubt if Alan docking is competitive in Macau. I do think Hi-tech is more competitive compare with ADR. Look at the result of last year, renault powered teams usually had more straight line speed and that was the same fast as Tom's toyota. I hope Danny watts can perform well in Macau, as i am one of his fan.

Jamie Green was going Macau with Carlin, but negotiations broke down, probably about budget. Usually Macau/Korea is an extra, as Jaime was on a tight budget for the year anyway, it was to much money to find.

It's about euro 60-90k to be with the top teams for Macau and Korea package. Plus you got to stay in the far east for almost a month. Hotels, food and entertainments are no where cheap there (especially Macau :P) Unless you have a major backer or rich dad, it's difficult expecially things are uncertain for next year. I think that's the prime resaon for both Green and Watts decision.

That'll be because Hi-tech aren't "his team" any more since Renault unceremoniously dumped him from their DDP.

Everyone only goes for just over 2 weeks, and Hotels are part of the deal from the organisers at greatly reduced rates.

Always had good hospitality from the Koreans in Chagwon.

See you out there lollipops? There's usually about half a dozen Ten-tenthers staying at the Dragon Hotel.

Even though Danny was dumped by Renault DDP, he is still "owned" by David Hale of Hi-Tech. I gather a deal was done between Docking/Hale/Watts for him to race in Macau.

Sorry, yes, Macau is run by the Ausies, - Changwon, S.Korea by the Brits, so we only get the invite to Korea, and can't affotd to get to Macau at own expense, though it would be fun to do.

Why did not 'Hale' put him in a Hi-tech car, instead of agreeing for him to drive for ADR one.

The cars from Europe are on their way (or at least most of them).

Emirates Cargo Airlines flight EK9992 left Amsterdam at 3am to go to Macau via Dubai.

On board were numerous touringcars, f3 cars and equipment.

So no worthwhile domestic F3 testing for a while?

Hi-Tech drivers arrived in Hong Kong last Wednesday to "acclimatise". Engineers and mechanics of most teams departed from LHR on Virgin Atlantic last night ( Sunday).
