Another one, although not as big as the other alleged one...

Bathurst 12 Hr class winner and Lotus racer Richard Buttrose seems to be in a little strife.

Of course, he shall remain innocent until proven guilty.

Gee whiz... After seeing Mr Buttrose in person at Bathurst last weekend, one would assume his occupation was a Choir Boy or similar.

Gone are the days when the Gangsters/Dealers/Pimps looked like they should, Hey Mr Stevens ?

The charges relate to a raid on a Darling Point apartment in Sydney's east on Thursday which allegedly netted $1.3 million in cash and 7.7kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of $2 million.

Several other bags and two bricks of cocaine were also allegedly found, as well as a money counting machine.
So sad...

I noticed in the paper recently that Paul Pickett allegedly shares more than a love of Lotus racecars with Mr Buttrose. Sounds like the white line fever in the Lotus tents was pretty contagious.
As a piece of trivia, but of no consequence, does any one remember the Triple P 2-door Bimmer run by Paul that was once used by a previous British owner to transport drugs across the English Channel in the early nineties ?? Maybe there was "something" left in the glovebox !!!

Thanks wikipedia

As Vic Lee Motorsport the team had considerable success in the early 1990s: in 1990 Jeff Allam won his class in a VLM prepared BMW M3, 1991 saw Will Hoy take the BTCC title in a similar car, and Tim Harvey won the championship for the team in a BMW 318is.
However, the company was liquidated when Lee and others were convicted of importing drugs hidden in their race transporters worth £6 million, suspicions having been raised due to the number of times the team found it necessary to test at the Zandvoort circuit in Holland. Lee received a sentence of twelve years' imprisonment in 1993.[1]
The team was liquidated, and some of the assets sold went to the team's driver Ray Bellm and Steve Neal, who formed Team Dynamics.[2]

I am pretty sure that the Paul Pickett Bimmer was one of these. There weren't many 2 door 318 supertourers ??
