YoungRacer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Le Mans Classic

Includes Group C for first time and a round of the Jaguar Classic Challenge.

Original post- I raced LM Classic in 2014 but can't remember when the entries were released in'13, anxious to get a few cars in especially with the group c race and wondered if anyone can remember roughly when they were released. Planning 2016 already, where has the year gone..

Bit of both.

Seven entered and five accepted.

May get another but think five may be enough.

Will sort drivers for car when I am at Retromobile.

Think we will go back to similar set up,with Harry! For one of cars .

The list I received today said `provisional` ? Presumably no actual acceptances will happen until January if I remember right ...Alex

So do you have a plan Mr Iain to find a drive at LMC as entries are closed?

Your mates Mike and Joe seem to be organised?

No John nothing planned . I normally wander around with my race kit in the hope of a drive . It's worked a few times . I would be more than happy to help out on the spaners if nothing else . July going to be busy month as we plan to have Stoke Row and Nuffield Motor Sport Day on the 17 th then following week Spa and then straight on to Silverstone Classic .

Iain, you must go, I've been fortunate enough to spanner with pre war stuff, and run/spanner & drive the Harrington, thanks to John. It's all very good fun, and nothing like UK events.

Even arguing with extremely French officials made for an interesting challenge.

There's an outside chance I'm doing this but up to now havn't really looked at any details. Having now seen the entry form :- you don't get much for your money do you? Don't know what I was expecting to be honest but on first glance I can't say I'm impressed. As these opportunities don't come along often I guess I'll still accept the invite (if it materialises) even though it'll bankrupt me

The thing with most older cars is they were designed around malnourished blokes who started smoking when they were 5. anyone over 5'10" can't get in them.

Seems that Joe and Mike MAY have a drive in a 356 in G2.

Did a 5 42 last time so no pressure.

A bit quicker than Harry then.

Not looking stupid and not crashing was the priority then!

Quite! Always first priority. (The second bit...)

If it happens, it will be an fantastic opportunity. But I'm old enough to have learned not to count any chickens before they are well and truly hatched!

Luckily the times expected by various car types round Le Mans mean nothing to me at the moment. Will have to look for some in-car footage that can play on an endless loop. Something bit slower than a Posche 919, though....

It always has been for me . . . the first bit is always open to debate!

plenty of Good you tube footage out there Mike, and its a common circuit for kids computer games, I think I practiced on an old playstation last time in a Mercedes A class which was about a 6m lap, which was as quick as Harry went, although I think our first run at night was about 7m!
