possibilities....
anyone remember the X-Type that rocketsports built a year or so ago?? could that be one the the manufacturers pushing for the 4-door alms package??

I'm sure Cadillac and Audi are the main people pushing for it. They and BMW have managed to turn Speed "GT" into a touring car series, now they want to run their touring cars on a bigger stage.

i think if audi go for a GT car they should use the S4... and use the RS6 for gts if anything
but they have the R8's i dont know though |

I don't think Ford are considering entering ALMS with their X-Type.
Seriously this is not the way for Jaguar to go back Dportscar racing. Firstly because it isn't a sportscar in anyway, in exactly same way that the Mondeo isn't. Secondly because it wouldn't include Le Mans, which for Jaguar should be the entire point. Although a N.American serious with a prototype would be great for them. |

I vaguley remember that X-type concept, I doubt it would be raced but there is nothing like variety

well it definitly wouldnt race under the jaguar factory banner...... but paul gentelozzi could run it himself with his experience in trans-am he has expressed that he likes the alms
