Le Mans video 06
received the LM video from Amazon today it is different with no commentry but lots of in race interveiws and good camera shots especially in the pits

How's that work then? The "pretend it's live" commentary has in the past been a bit hit'n'miss but losing it although seems strange, is there no even a Voiceover explaning what part of the race the footage is from?

there are race positions at various times but no explaination of why the Aston went into the pit and lost the class to the corvette it assumes that the veiwer either went to the race or has read a report.

The commentary really is terrible, isn't it? I remember the old videos where they used the RLM commentators - was faaaaaaar better!!

Yeah, they were great. The newer ones are a bit dull in comparison.

Nothing beats being there and having RLM live though does it?

On my copy of theDVD their is a commentry on the practice in the extras section but the main race section has no commentry only interveiws with drivers and team managers. Also a lot of the comments from the Pescarolo team are in french with no subtitles is every elses copy the same?
